EA FC 25 Career Mode packs in a bunch of new features that add to the realism, but you’ll still need to use the best teams to have the most engaging experience.

For the latest iteration of Career Mode, the devs are expanding the scouting network, fleshing out the youth academy system, and introducing a tactical overhaul through FC IQ. The result should be the most immersive Manager Career yet, especially if you pick the right team for the journey.

Whether you’re looking to take an underdog to the top or restore a heavyweight to their former glory, here are our picks for the best FC 25 Career Mode teams.

Best teams to use in FC 25 Career Mode

Real Madrid

Jude Bellingham, Vini Jr, and Kylian Mbappe in FC 25
Real Madrid have an incredible squad.

Getting the most obvious pick out of the way, Real Madrid are statistically the best team for an EA FC 25 Career Mode save. The Merengues lifted a historic treble under the stewardship of Carlo Ancelotti last season, and their odds of repeating that feat look just as solid. Their squad is packed with world-class talents, with the addition of Kylian Mbappe bolstering their attacking riches even further.

As head coach, you’ll be responsible for finding a cohesive system that gets the best out of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo, and Mbappe. You’ll also need to keep an eye out for a Toni Kroos successor while developing wonderkids like Arda Guler and Endrick. To round out the list, the board expects nothing less than Champions League glory and domestic dominance.

All of this might seem like a tall order, but you’ll have the chance to lead the latest era of Galacticos.

Fenerbahce

Making it seem as if the world is against you is a psychological tactic used by the greatest managers to unite their teams. At Fenerbahce, this hostility is already present so there’s one thing you can cross off your checklist.

In the past few years, the club have threatened to quit their league, protested against their broadcasters, and even been wrongfully accused of match-fixing. They also haven’t lifted the Super Lig in 11 years, all while playing second fiddle to fierce rivals, Galatasaray. All this has resulted in the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium turning into a powder keg and you could be the manager to finally spark some hope.

At your disposal are the talents of veterans such as Edin Dzeko, Dusan Tadic, Allan Saint-Maximin, and Cenk Tosun. Several other journeymen are also on the books so you can put together a scrappy team that gets the job done and restores Fenerbahce’s honor.

Brighton & Hove Albion

A Brighton save is the arguably best way to take full advantage of EA FC 25’s expanded Scouting system and Youth Academy. The Seagulls have earned a name for unearthing wonderful young players and paring their talents with a scintillating style of play. With De Zerbi out the door, it’s your turn to wow the Amex through cutting-edge tactical setups.

As for the current crop of talent, Yankuba Minteh, Joao Pedro, Carlos Baleba, and Julio Enciso have all the flair you’ll need. Having household names such as Danny Welbeck and Karou Mitoma should help as well, but ultimately, it’s your work on the tactics board that will determine exactly how far Brighton can go.

Chelsea

Cole Palmer celebrating in FC 25
Getting the best out of Cole Palmer is a must.

It’s impossible to overlook Chelsea when thinking of the most fun Career Mode saves for FC 25. The club has been languishing in mid-table mediocrity for the past few years while producing some of the most thrilling matches in Europe. Their squad is overstuffed with talent but also lacks balance at the same time.

To fix Chelsea’s woes, you’ll need to be tactically sound. From picking between a midfield trio or dropping one of your $100m midfielders in favor of a pivot, to benching the goalscoring abilities of Christopher Nkunku in favor of Joao Felix’s flair, you’ll be faced with many difficult decisions.

There’s no shortage of funds if you wish to dip into the transfer market. However, adding another player to the mix will only make managing the squad’s happiness more difficult. Turning Stamford Bridge into a fortress is a difficult task, but with the wealth of talent at your disposal, you’re guaranteed to have a lot of fun on the journey.

Everton

Matters only seem to get worse for Everton every year. The mood around Goodison Park was dire after the club were slapped with a massive points deduction last season. They managed to survive by the scruff of their necks thanks to the wonders of Dyche Ball. However, any joy they could derive from the achievement was quickly offset by the sales of Amadou Onana and Ben Godfrey.

The Toffees head into a new season with an arguably worse team while fan sentiment is at an all-time low. Keeping Everton afloat is a challenge reserved for the best EA FC 25 Career Mode players, especially at the highest difficulty. You’ll have to make do with an injury-prone Dominic Calvert-Lewin and rely on raw talents such as Dwight McNeil and Jarrad Branthwaite to work wonders on the pitch.

AS Monaco

Monaco finished runners-up during the 2023/24 Ligue 1 campaign with a Kylian Mbappe-led PSG blazing past them. Despite being unable to secure silverware, Les Rouge et Blanc laid down a marker and enter the new season as strong title contenders. Your job is to see them over the finish line while embarking on a respectable Champions League run.

The biggest obstacle in your path remains PSG, who’ve undergone a mini-squad revamp and recruited exciting young players from all over Europe. Monaco’s team sheet is composed of underrated players like Denis Zakaria, Thilo Kehrer, Breel Embolo, Takumi Minamino, and Lamine Camara. With a core such as this, you can play an intense press and bank on your squad’s tenacity to suffocate opposition teams.
