EA FC 24 Festival of Football patch notes: Euro 2024 mode, rewards, more

With the EA FC 24 Euro 2024 update arriving on June 6, the devs have released the official patch notes for the upcoming Title Update 16.

The festival of football has taken over EA FC 24 with both, the Euros and Copa America joining the game. Both tournaments are set to be celebrated in Ultimate Team with the introduction of new player items.

Euro 2024 is even getting a dedicated tournament mode featuring authentic team kits, stadiums, logos, and the official match ball.

The latest update for EA FC 24 also brings new face scans and the ice-cold Cole Palmer celebration among other things. Here are the full patch notes for EA FC 24 Title Update 16 update.

Here are the full patch notes for EA FC 24 Title Update 16, as revealed on the official EA Sports blog:

UEFA Euro 2024 Mode

Kickoff

• Get into the UEFA EURO 2024 action with final, semi-final, and group-stage matches available in nine authentic stadiums. Choose a side from any of the 24 qualified teams, or rewrite history with any other European national team available in EA SPORTS FC 24, and play against friends locally or against the CPU AI.
• Enjoy the ‘Match of the Day’ fixture, updated with every real-life tournament matchday up to the Final match.

UEFA EURO 2024 Tournaments

• Play the most authentic UEFA EURO 2024 experience with real-life stadiums, broadcast packages, match ball and the coveted trophy, bringing the tournament’s atmosphere to your screen. Dive into the official tournament mode, playing with teams that will feature in the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament.

Lead your Nation

• Play as an individual player or create your own custom Avatar to captain the team of your choice on the road to Berlin. As you play through the stages, you can control just that player or the whole national team. Complete training drills before each match to earn up to seven PlayStyles and enhance your game as you lead your country.

Online Friendlies

• Experience the UEFA EURO 2024 Final atmosphere at the Olympiastadion Berlin as you reignite your competitive spirit with online friendlies. These allow you to challenge friends using any of the 24 qualified teams or from any other European national squad available in the game. Online Friends cross-play will be available for players on the same platform generation.

The European Journey

• Embark on the European Journey and earn rewards across your favourite game modes by completing challenges themed around the different ways to play UEFA EURO 2024. Completing all the challenges will earn you a reward to embark on a new journey. The final reward will be revealed after the tournament ends. 

Ultimate Team

Festival of Football

• Kicking off the Festival of Football is Path to Glory. The Path to Glory Campaign follows each nation’s step towards silverware. The unique aspect of Path to Glory players is their ability to upgrade based on their nation’s form throughout the tournament. 
• In addition to current stars, we’re paying homage to the legends of the game. Greats of the Game will feature ICONs & Heroes whose upgrades are tied to the goals scored by their nation during the tournament. This celebrates the players who have left an indelible mark on the game.

New Loan Types

• Traditional Match Loans, which many of you are familiar with, will remain unchanged. The two new loan types are additional to Match Loans.
• Global Loans apply to all players simultaneously. Global Loans begin on a set date and time for everyone and count down to a predetermined end point together. When the timer reaches zero, the loan item will no longer be usable and will be removed from your club. 
• Festival of Football Global Loans will expire on July 18.

Additional Updates

Gameplay

• We’ve introduced a new skill move called the Double Touch Lane Change that’s sure to be a hit with players who love to dazzle on the pitch with their technical prowess. This addition comes later in the calendar, but it’s definitely worth the wait for those who thrive on skillful play.
• We’re bringing a new celebration to the game. Inspired by Cole Palmer’s standout season at Chelsea, this celebration can be executed with Cole Palmer across Kickoff, Career, and Football Ultimate Team modes. For those look

Star Heads

• Title Update #16 brings 27 new player star heads to EA SPORTS FC 24. You can expect to see improved likenesses of players across the Premier League, including players like Rodri, Sven Botman, Pedro Porro and Eberechi Eze.

Manager Career

• Youth Prospects scouting and development is a big part of Manager Career experience. For our Manager Career enthusiasts, we’ve made changes in Title Update #16 that will bring new and exciting additions to the youth system.
  • Over the course of your Manager Career you will be able to scout Youth Prospects with 90+ potential and seven PlayStyles. Such players that came through your Youth Academy will now develop two PlayStyles+! The first PlayStyle+ will be unlocked at 80 OVR and second will be unlocked at 90 OVR. This is the only way possible in Manager Career to have a player with two PlayStyles+.

Clubs

• For our Clubs players, we’re adding a permanent double XP multiplier to any experience gained after a match in FC 24. Which means accelerated progression for your Virtual Pro – faster way to unlock extra slots and different available PlayStyles for your Virtual Pro. By simply playing any match in Clubs (ex. drop-in or league game) you will notice an increased amount of earned XP. And remember that the amount of XP is also based on the Match Rating – the better your performance in the game the faster the progression.
