An EA FC 24 player posted about a reported DDA incident during their gameplay in Ultimate Team Champions, even though the game was against a real online player, and several other players have also shared similar experiences.

EA FC 24 has been out for more than a month now and players are still finding new issues in the game. Although EA Sports have deployed several patches addressing many issues already, players are reportedly encountering DDA issues during their gameplay.

DDA or Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment is a mechanic where a game’s AI adjusts the difficulty level by judging your skill level during a match. This generally occurs during matches against the CPU. However, players are confused as such a prompt should not appear during multiplayer modes like Champions.

A player on Reddit, ‘QuincyPromes420,’ has reportedly encountered an occurrence of DDA during an Ultimate Team Champions game. The OP also mentioned that technically it should not happen during Champions as the opponents are controlled by real humans.

The incident started with random difficulty adjustment prompts during the match, when the difficulty seemed to shift to World Class, and then Legendary. The OP confirmed that the “opponent was not a bot, he was manually doing corner tactics, switching to a player in the penalty box before crossing.!

They speculated this might be an instance of DDA in EA FC 24, and since it was on Xbox One a “PC hacker is not possible.” Many others in the comments have shared similar mysterious experiences during their Ultimate Team multiplayer matches.

EA previously mentioned on their official website that using scripting or DDA was never a practice in the game amidst several complaints regarding scripting from the fans. DDA during online matches would completely break the game’s difficulty balance for most players, which is why EA have claimed to never include it in the Ultimate Team.

A user named ‘Huckleberry_Ginn’ added that in Champions, they “entered a game with a different logo” and “had no control of players.”

EA are yet to address the issue, so it’s unclear as to whether or not DDA. was present in the matches or if if it was simply a visual glitch. For more on EA FC 24, check out the best 100 player ratings and top 20 strikers in the game.
