Enrolling in Community Playtesting doesn’t guarantee access, as the selection process is random. That being said, you can improve your chances in a number of ways.

How to increase chances of getting a beta code

  • Sign up for Community Playtesting as mentioned above.
  • Be a regular EA FC 24 player.
  • Own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S|X.
  • Have an active PS Plus or Xbox Live subscription.

When is EA FC 25 beta?

The FC 25 beta takes place on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST until August 27, 2024, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST.

While players reported receiving invitations as early as August 5, beta access will only commence on August 6 on the following platforms:

  • PlayStation 5
  • PlayStation 4
  • PC (on Steam and the EA app)
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • Xbox One
  • Nintendo Switch

The devs confirmed the “Closed Beta is only available in the United States and the United Kingdom.”

It’s expected that beta invitations will continue to be sent out in batches, so don’t worry if you haven’t got one straight away. Best of luck to all those looking to get an early taste of the game.

Modes explained

The EA FC 25 beta features Ultimate Team, Career Mode, and Clubs.

However, you won’t necessarily have access to all of the features listed above, as all players are randomly assigned different modes when their codes are sent out. This means that you can only play the parts of the game that have been opened up to you and there’s no way to choose which ones you get.

Does FC 25 beta progress carry over?

Progress from the EA FC 25 Closed Beta doesn’t carry over to the final game. This is simply an opportunity to test out the gameplay changes in the new game, but any Clubs or Ultimate Team progress achieved will be completely wiped come launch day.

This is partly to ensure that all players start on a level playing field, but also because the ratings, kits, and squads aren’t fully updated during the beta. Instead, your Ultimate Team squads are built using old rosters from FC 24, so it’s only fair that it gets reset and everyone starts again from scratch.

Can you transfer beta codes?

No, you are not allowed to transfer beta codes to another player. The code you receive is tied exclusively to your account, so you can’t give it to a friend even if they play on the same platform as you.

This is a common question every year, as those who won’t have time to make use of the beta look to give their access away. Unfortunately, this isn’t an option, so it’s worth downloading and hopping into the early trial, even if you only plan on playing for a couple of hours.

In the meantime, the debate about who will be the best-rated player rages on, while the devs tease all the new leagues and licenses they’ve secured for this year’s game.
