EGL Open, EU’s first CWL Challenge Division LAN event, takes place this weekend

The first official Call of Duty World League Challenge Division LAN event in Europe takes place this weekend with the EGL Open. The event begins Saturday, March 5th and ends on Sunday, March 6th.

Teams:

For this event, there are 24 open teams and 8 Pro Division teams attending the event.

The 32 teams total will be broken into 8 groups of 4 for bracket play. Each of the 8 groups will feature 1 Pro Division team and 3 challenge division team. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Single Elimination bracket play on day two.

Prize Pool:

For this event, there is a $25,000 prize pool and CWL points on the line.

Here’s the prize pool break down:

  • 1st Place — $10,000
  • 2nd Place — $5,000
  • 3rd/4th Place — $2,500
  • 5th-8th Place — $1,250

Here’s the CWL points break down:

  • 1st Place — 2,500
  • 2nd Place — 1,500
  • 3rd Place — 1,100
  • 4th Place — 900
  • 5th-6th Place — 800
  • 7th-8th Place — 700
  • 9th-12th Place — 550
  • 13th-16th Place — 450
  • 17th-24th Place — 300
  • 25th-32nd Place — 200
