Where to get Beast Claw in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

elden ring character in shadow of the erdtree dlc with beast claw

Beast Claws are a new weapon type in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, and you can get them fairly early on.

This new weapon packs a punch, as it scales with Strength, but it features an extremely fast moveset and also scales nicely with Dex, making the Beast Claw a great pick for quality builds. Here’s how to get the Beast Claw in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, including the location.

How to get Beast Claw – location

You can get the Beast Claw by defeating Logur, the Beast Claw. This NPC is a mini boss that can be found lurking around the woods on the south side of the Gravesite Plains just down the hill (see image below).

How to defeat Logur the Beast Claw

You can sneak up on Logur as he’s roaming the woods and get a sneaky backstab in before initiating a fight. Then, stay patient, dodge his fast, seemingly endless attacks, and wait for an opening.

Logur’s attacks are all close-range, so if you have any ranged spells, incantations, or weapons, these will be effective. However, watch out for his quick movement, as the Beast Claw moveset allows Logur to get in your face pretty quickly.

It’s also important to note that Logur has one Flask of Crimson Tears, so you can expect him to stop and try to heal when you whittle his health down. This is actually a great opportunity to get some hits in, and if he goes to heal again, he’ll quickly find out he has no flasks left, providing you with another opening.

Best build

The best build for the Beast Claw would be a quality build. This means a character with stats focused on Strength and Dex as the highest attributes. I recommend using the White Mask, as this will increase your Attack Power by 10% after inflicting blood loss, and the Lord of Blood’s Exultation Talisman, which does the same thing and will stack.

Once you defeat Logur, you will be rewarded with the Beast Claw, which is one of the best early-game weapons you can find in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and will help you defeat some of the tough bosses the DLC has to offer.
