Epic Games announce FNCS All-Star Showdown
Epic Games announces the $3,000,000 FNCS All-Star Showdown, starting after the end of Season 6.
With the start of Season 6 comes the start to an all-new competitive season for Fortnite’s highest tier players to battle in. With the decision by Epic Games to transfer Arena points from Season 5 to Season 6, we’re sure to see many more players get their shot to play in the big leagues in future Champions Tournaments.
Once the end of the competitive pre-season rolls around on March 23, 2021, players will start grinding away, with the goal of being invited to the All-Star Showdown.
FNCS All-Star Showdown Schedule
The FNCS All-Star Showdown will take place from June 23-26. Since Season 6 is slated to end on June 8, this means that we’ll be seeing the Showdown during Fortnite’s seventh season.
This tournament will be by invitation only, reserved for the most accomplished players in the competitive community. According to Epic, the invitations will be reserved for a set amount of players and will be offered based on the final rankings for the end of Chapter 2 Season 5 and 6.
Players who also play with the same teams across both seasons will also see those scores being factored together, so if you’ve had a competitive squad through Season 5, you might want to stick together through Season 6 to get a better chance to get invited.
The event itself will consist of several skill challenges, a non-Battle Royale team-based competition, and a Solo tournament, with an overall prize pool of $3,000,000. After this huge tournament, Epic has announced there will be a two-week break from competitive events, so don’t expect to see any competitions between June 28-July 11.
With that being said, we’ll update you if we hear any more about this event from Epic Games. Best of luck this season!
