Apex Legends Fight Night Collection Event

The Fight Night Collection Event brought a plethora of new content when it went live on January 5. Aside from the Pathfinder Town Takeover and new heirloom, the developers also added several buffs and nerfs, we have details on all of them for you.

Collection Events are among the most exciting Apex Legends traditions. They’ve been around since Season 1 serving as opportunities for Respawn to show off brand new skins, challenges, heirlooms, and daily objectives to players.

The new Fight Night Collection Event finally went live on January 5 and brought many changes to the Battle Royale game. This includes an heirloom for Gibraltar and a brand new LTM called Airdrop Escalation. Rampart has also been giving a new buff during the event.

Here’s every character and weapon that has received a nerf or buff in the latest update.

Rampart’s buffs and nerfs

We’ll start this list by talking about Rampart. This Legend has a dedication to being proficient with heavy weaponry and now the Fight Night update has given a buff to her Amped Cover ability. The cooldown time for this has been reduced.

The waiting time to recharge Amped Cover was initially 30 seconds, but it has been reduced to 20. Fans have been asking for a buff to her abilities for a while, so this is great news. Do keep in mind that it will take three seconds for you to actually place the fortifications.

The developers also addressed a couple of bugs that players have been affected by when playing as Rampart. This includes one that changes the screens when using the Sheila mini-gun.

Horizon’s buffs and nerfs

Horizon wasn’t part of the first draft of patch notes that came out before the Collection Event, but was added at the very last second. She got a small change to her Gravity Lift ability that is meant to discourage players from using it too often.

The ability’s effective cooldown time has been increased from 16 to 21 seconds. This means that you’ll have to wait an additional five seconds to recharge Gravity Lift.

Caustic’s buffs and nerfs

Respawn originally had plans to give Caustic’s Gas Trap ability a buff in the new patch. The cooldown was going to be reduced to 20 seconds and this didn’t sit well with fans. Senior Game Designer, Daniel Klein, responded to the criticism and stood by the buff.

Ultimately, the Legend was removed from the update when it finally dropped on January 5. The developers listened to the complaints from fans, and ended up canceling the tweak.

Apex Legends Weapon changes: Hemlok, Mastiff, Prowler

Moving onto the new weapon alterations in the update, The Prowler weapon has been given a buff to its reserve bullets. The amount has been increased from 175 to 210, while the damage and range remain unchanged.

The rest of the weapon changes have been nerfs. The Hemlok’s damage has been brought down from 22 to 20. The Mastiff’s pellet spread for the third and fourth shots has also changed as the range has been reduced from 10 degrees to 7.5.

There have also been a few bug fixes for many of the Legends, along with quality of life fixes. You can take a look at these changes in the full Fight Night patch notes.
