Every Battlefield 2042 Specialist Gadget revealed in leak
One of the brand-new features being added into Battlefield 2042 is the inclusion of Specialists – individual characters replacing the classes found in previous games. Each Specialist comes equipped with a unique Gadget, and a new leak appears to have revealed each one coming to the shooter.
Battlefield 2042 is bringing big changes to the long-running shooter series, most notably the decision to scrap the single-player campaign in favor of telling a story gradually with online updates. That’s not to say the new game will be completely devoid of story, DICE recently posted the Battlefield 2042 Exodus short film, which provided some backstory and fleshed out the game’s bleak world.
Specialists also mark a shift in the series, swapping out classes for characters who you can tailor to your specific playstyle, including fan-favorite Kimble “Irish” Graves. We’ve already seen one of these Specialists in action – leaked gameplay footage on Reddit showed a player using a grapple gun to scale hillsides and climb onto roofs.
Every leaked Battlefield 2042 Specialist Gadget
DICE has already confirmed there will be 10 Specialists to choose from at launch, with a further four to be added in future updates. All 14 of these characters have had their Gadget leaked, but the information doesn’t specify which piece of equipment corresponds to which character.
That being said, in some cases, we can piece it together from details provided by the developers. Here is every leaked Gadget in Battlefield 2042:

Each Specialist also comes with a passive Trait that helps them fit their role on the battlefield, which fall into the traditional classes fans will know: Recon, Assault, Support, and Engineer. Boris, for example, has Sentry Operator, which automatically boosts the power of his deployable turret when he is nearby.
Players will also have much more flexibility than in the past, as each Specialist can be equipped with any weapons, not just ones that fit their intended role. This allows fans to really tailor their loadout to fit a specific playstyle, whether they want to be a deadly sniper or more of a jack of all trades.
