Warzone M16 and FFAR nerfed

Warzone Season 3 is here, and it’s brought a ton of weapon balance changes with it, including nerfs to the dominant M16, AUG, and FFAR. Here’s every weapon buff and nerf in Warzone Season 3.

Warzone Season 3 is officially here. On top of new Operators and weapons, a ton of adjustments have been made to Black Ops Cold War’s weapons in the battle royale.

While certain Cold War weapons were underpowered compared to their Modern Warfare counterparts, others killed way faster than the norm. As of Season 3, the AUG, M16, and FFAR have finally been nerfed, and other weapons such as the Krig 6 and Cold War AK-47 have been buffed.

Here’s every change that has been made to weapons and attachments in Warzone Season 3.

PPSH and Swiss K31 added to Warzone

As with all new Call of Duty seasons, players have been given some new weapons to play with in Season 3. These are the classic PPSH SMG and a new bolt-action sniper, the Swiss K31.

Swiss K31 in Cold War and Warzone

Both of these weapons are available in the Season 3 Battle Pass and can be equipped in both Warzone and Black Ops Cold War. You’ll unlock the PPSH quickly at Tier 15, and the Swiss K31 can be unlocked later at Tier 31.

M16, AUG, FFAR 1 nerfed in Warzone Season 3

The highlight of this update is the nerfing of the M16, AUG, and FFAR 1. These weapons dominated the entirety of Season 2, with their incredibly low time-to-kill making them the only viable choices.

Raven Software finally tamed the beasts, lowering the Tactical Rifles’ damage and fire rate. With these changes, the devs said, “you will now need to aim deliberately if you intend to kill quickly.”

Although the FFAR has received nerfs in the past, this one appears to be final. They’ve reduced its damage across the board and reduced its ADS speed again. Raven said that “the FFAR 1 will remain a respectable option following this change, but it should now be a playstyle preference rather than a loadout necessity.”

Raven Software also proactively nerfed the Groza in anticipation of it becoming the new meta after the FFAR’s nerf. As streamer NICKMERCS explained, the Groza was a rival to the FFAR, and Raven was aware of this. They increased its recoil and lowered its ADS speed and damage to “allow for some healthy competition in this weapon category.”

Developers also expect the CR-56 AMAX to be the dominant gun at the beginning of Season 3. They said, “we are keeping a close eye on the AMAX. No king rules forever.

All Warzone Season 3 weapon changes

As well as nerfing Season 2’s most powerful weapons, they buffed some outliers and added a new attachment bonus – Position Concealment.

NICKMERCS dominates enemies with the “fastest killing Warzone loadout ever”

NICKMERCS has revealed the “fastest killing” weapon loadout to dominate enemies in Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

Warzone Operator in Fortune's Keep

Nick ‘NICKMERCS’ Kolcheff has revealed the “fastest killing Warzone loadout” that allows him to annihilate his opponents quickly in Season 4 Reloaded.

If you want to come out on top in a Warzone Pacific match then you’ll need a weapon that can take out enemies extremely fast, and there are plenty of high TTK choices available in Season 4 Reloaded.

Now, popular streamer Warzone streamer NICKMERCS has revealed a weapon loadout so powerful that it allowed him to score quick eliminations and dominate the opposition throughout the match.

After hopping into a game, NICKMERCS picked up the KG M40 Assault Rifle, and he was able to use it to secure kills insanely fast in medium and long-range engagements. He described it as the “fastest killing Warzone loadout ever.”

By the end of the match, he had secured 23 kills with the weapon and gave it high praise, claiming that it’s “so much better than the NZ ever was.” He also revealed the attachments he used in his KG M40 loadout.

NICKMERCS Warzone KG M40 loadout

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Reisdorf 720mm Shrouded
  • Optic: SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x
  • Stock: VDD 22G Padded
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 8mm Klauser 60 Round Drums
  • Ammo Type: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Hatched Grip
  • Perk 1: Brace
  • Perk 2: On-Hand

NICKMERCS utilizes the VDD 22G Padded stock to give a boost to movement speed in his KG M40 Warzone loadout. This is extremely helpful for getting around the map or away from overwhelming gunfire.

The Krausnick 12V Stock, Hatched Grip, and M1941 Hand Stop brought the weapon’s recoil under control. NICKMERCS then used the magnification of the SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optic to pick off enemies in long-range combat.

To cap off this Warzone Pacific loadout, NICKMERCS equipped Brace to improve the accuracy of those initial shots when firing and On-Hand to reduce the downtime after using Equipment.

Using this KG M40 loadout will allow you to secure quick kills on Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep. So, be sure to try it out the next time you hop into Warzone Pacific Season 4 Reloaded.

JGOD reveals secret Warzone attachment to drastically reduce recoil

JGOD has shared an underused attachment that can significantly improve your recoil control with weapons in Warzone.

JGOD and Vanguard Royale mode

Warzone expert JGOD has discovered a secret Warzone attachment that can dramatically reduce the recoil on weapons.

Warzone content creator and stats expert JGOD is often the man to go to when you are looking for meta builds and tips when it comes to creating a class in Warzone.

Just recently, JGOD shared his best meta loadouts for Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, and with Season 5 on the horizon, it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for his experienced advice.

Reducing a weapon’s recoil is certainly something to consider when creating a loadout and JGOD has shared details about a secret Warzone attachment that can reduce your recoil by “30%,” so let’s get into the details.

First off, the attachment in question is the Bipod, which may seem like a surprise to many, as it has been in the game since the start but is severely underused.

Using the Cooper Carbine, JGOD claims that the Bipod works “effectively,” demonstrating the recoil difference in the video.

Using the Bipod on your weapon will allow you to “shoot straighter,” which is ultimately what JGOD believes allows players to win gunfights in Warzone. Keep in mind that the attachment only reduces recoil when crouched, mounted, or prone.

Hitting your shots will give you a “faster TTK than somebody who just misses a bunch of bullets,” and so the Bipod helps greatly in that department.

JGOD does highlight the main con to using the Bipod, as he explains that you move “way slower” when crouched. That said when using the Bipod, as long as you focus on long-range engagements and positioning it shouldn’t be a problem. That’s certainly not a bad trade-off for “30% less recoil.”

JGOD says you can “pretty much use it (the Bipod) on any long-range meta build” by replacing the Underbarrel attachment you’re currently using, he also doesn’t recommend using it on SMGs as it reduces the sprint to fire time.

New Sniper Rifles coming to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 spotted in new trailer & screenshots

Call of Duty players have spotted a couple of the Sniper Rifles coming to both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.

Sniping is a staple of Call of Duty, and players are desperate to know what Sniper Rifles they’ll be using to quickscope in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer and snipe over distance in Warzone 2. Luckily, some gun buffs have spotted the upcoming Sniper rifles in the new trailer.

As we quickly approach Modern Warfare 2‘s October 28 launch, Infinity Ward are revealing more and more about the game. We’ve seen some campaign gameplay, but it’s not until September 15 that we’ll learn all about the multiplayer and Warzone 2.

However, alongside announcing that pre-orders grant early access to the campaign, the devs dropped a brand-new trailer and screenshots. This showed off some of the All Ghillied Up reimagining, but military buffs also spotted the brand-new Sniper Rifles coming to the game.

Modern Warfare 2 Sniper Rifles confirmed

CoD fans spotted that Captain Price is using the Barret MRAD in the screenshot from Modern Warfare 2‘s upcoming All Ghillied Up reimagining. Whether it will actually be called the Barret MRAD remains to be seen but the stock, bolt handle, and magazine housing are identical.

If Price is using this sniper to pick off targets at long range in the campaign, then it should be an excellent choice for Warzone 2.

Plus in the trailer, Soap is running the Remington MSR, which long-time Call of Duty fans will recognize from Modern Warfare 3. Some were quick to assume that Soap was holding the Intervention but no, it’s clearly the MSR.

The MSR was one of the best Sniper Rifles for quickscoping in MW3, so it could very well become the quickscoper’s choice.

Those aren’t the only Sniper Rifles set to arrive in the game though, as the Modern Warfare 2 game files found in Warzone Mobile also mentioned Modern Warfare 2019’s AX-50.

We’ll finally get our hands on some of Modern Warfare 2’s weapons and the Gunsmith system when the beta goes live on September 16.
