Warzone Pacific Season 3 Operator

The Warzone Pacific Season 3 update arrived on April 27 and brought with it some major weapon balancing changes, so here’s every buff and nerf from the update.

The Warzone Season 3 update delivers many changes when it comes to weapons and attachments in the battle royale. This is certainly one of the biggest weapon balancing updates we’ve seen in Warzone for over two years.

Players will need to come to grips with the incredible amount of changes in Season 3 as the weapon meta undergoes a huge transformation. This is particularly true for Snipers as the most popular weapons in the class received major nerfs on April 27, but let’s take look at every buff and nerf in Warzone Season 3.

Warzone Season 3 weapon buffs and nerfs

Warzone Kar98k

In the patch notes, the devs explained their thought process behind the unavoidable nerf to Snipers in Warzone. Snipers were still capable of one-shot killing players despite the increase to 150 health in Warzone.

Unfortunately for Sniper experts, this left the devs no choice but to alter how one-shot potential is defined, “Snipers may now use damage ranges as a defining characteristic of their one-shot potential.” When it comes to light weapons like the Kar98k and Swiss, players will need to pick attachments that increase damage range if they want to retain one-shot potential.

The STG44 is a popular Warzone weapon and the Assault Rifle had some of its attachments tweaked. Some attachments were nerfed while others were buffed, so it might be worthwhile to have a look at your loadout to see what’s changed.

Meanwhile, the Volk benefited from some hefty buffs which could see its usage increase drastically, but unfortunately, the Vargo 52 got hit pretty hard with recoil control nerfs.

vanguard bren warzone

The Bren will no longer be the powerhouse and mainstay in Warzone that it once was. The devs stated that the weapon has overstayed its welcome as the top long-range option. Nerfs to the Bren will make it more difficult to control at greater distances.

In addition, the Whitley received some great buffs to damage, ADS speed, and fire rate. Perhaps the weapon can transform into the monster it was in Vanguard’s Season 2 multiplayer.

Owen Gun Warzone SMG

We also got some major meta-shifting changes for the SMG category. Many top Warzone players had been using the Owen Gun since the start of Season 2, but that could change as the weapon had its fire rate and damage multiplier nerfed for certain attachments.

The MP40‘s VDD Short Barrel also received a considerable nerf alongside the Type 100‘s 8mm Kurz 48 Round Drums. Keep an eye on your loadouts if you use these particular attachments.

    • 8mm Kurz 72 Round Mags
      • Fire Rate decreased to 10%, down from 15%
      • Now increases Damage by 5%
      • The 8mm Kurz 72 Round Mags simply didn’t have a fair pro for con trade. We’ve slowed its rate of fire down some while providing a damage increase that results in targets being eliminated 1 bullet faster.
    • Imerito 180mm Short Barrel
      • Bullet Velocity penalty decreased to -10%, down from -12%
      • Recoil Control penalty decreased to -10%, down from -15%

      • Neck Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.17, down from 1.3

      • Fire Rate decreased to 16%, down from 19%

  • MP40 (VG)
    • VDD 189mm Short Barrel
      • Min Damage decreased to 23, down from 24
      • Upper and Lower Torso Damage Multiplier decreased to 1.04, down from 1.1

Warzone Season 3 attachment buffs and nerfs

Most of the attachment changes were addressed above as they pertain to specific weapons. There were far fewer general attachment adjustments in the Season 3 update than we’ve seen in the past.

However, the update did provide changes to three attachments across the board regardless of which weapon you’re using. Subsonic ammo no longer has a bullet velocity penalty and the Mercury Silencer had its damage range penalty removed. Lastly, the MX Silencer will now decrease sprint to fire speed in favor of a 10% increase in damage range.

Ammunition

  • Subsonic
    • Bullet Velocity penalty removed

Muzzles

  • Mercury Silencer
    • Damage Range penalty removed
  • MX Silencer
    • Now Decreases Sprint to Fire Speed by 2%
    • Now Increases Damage Range by 10%

That covers every weapon buff & nerf in Warzone Season 3 as well as every attachment change. You might want to give your top loadouts a look and see how your favorite weapons were affected.

Warzone players call for devs to remove Shotguns after Season 3 Reloaded damage nerfs

Many now feel that Warzone’s Shotguns are pointless after the damage nerfs that came with the Season 3 Reloaded update.

Warzone Pacific players are pretty disappointed with the Shotgun nerfs in the Season 3 Reloaded update, with some even claiming the weapon category should be removed entirely.

While some of the changes introduced in the Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded update are being praised, some are not too happy with the weapon buffs and nerfs, especially when it comes to the Shotgun category.

Shotguns aren’t the most meta weapons to use in Warzone, but they have previously held their own in close-range battles. With the recent health pool change, the devs decided to nerf the damage of a variety of Shotguns, causing some discontent in the community.

warzone streetsweeper

SMGs have dominated the close-range battles in Warzone Pacific, leaving hardly any room for Shotguns to excel.

Things have now seemingly gotten worse for Shotguns in the Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded update, as the Streetsweeper, Gallo, JAK-1, Origin 12, R-90, and Gracey Auto all had their damages reduced by 20%.

Reddit user Gtaher0 highlighted these changes with the caption “Holy Jesus,” indicating a sense of shock.

Users in the comments have chipped in, also shocked about the changes and slightly disappointed, with one player even feeling as if Shotguns should be removed from the loot pool: “Remove shotgun ground loot.”

This is mainly because, as another user states, “some shotguns don’t even have enough rounds needed to down some players.”

On the other hand, some aren’t that bothered, feeling as if most of the Shotguns that were nerfed are rarely used anyway: “Jak12 and Streetsweeper were pretty nutty. Other ones I never saw used in-game over the last 3 months.”

Warzone players satisfied with “amazing” new Squad HUD feature

Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded brought some new content to the game, including a Squad HUD feature which players are loving.

Warzone Pacific players have been enjoying the new Squad HUD feature which came with the Season 3 Reloaded update, with some calling it “amazing.”

Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded is finally here, and while players are getting to grips with the new Underground Transit System on Caldera, some are also very satisfied with the new Squad HUD feature.

This new feature gives players a clear view of the team’s resources, including the Killstreaks they are holding, the amount of money, the number of Armor Plates they are carrying, and also if they have a Gas Mask.

Although it seems like a small feature, the community is loving it, with some even describing it as “amazing.”

Warzone players fighting in Rebirth Island

Reddit user Mobile750APKStore put a post up in the Warzone subreddit highlighting the new expandable Squad HUD in Warzone Pacific Season 3 Reloaded.

The feature is a nice quality of life change that gives players a better view of their teammates’ resources. This will improve the communication and flow of the game, as players will easily be able to see what their squad needs, without even having to ask or wait for a response.

The community has been reacting to this new feature in the comments of this Reddit post, with one user stating that the Squad HUD is “amazing.” In the same breath, the user hilariously also claims that it is a hindrance when it comes to lying about the number of plates you have:

“This is amazing…But now I can’t lie to my teammates about having no plates :(.”

Of course, this is actually great when it comes to teamwork, as players who lie about the number of plates they have can now be caught out and will be encouraged to share with the team.

Aside from the comedic comment, others also seem very happy with the new feature, especially as it has been asked for by the community in the past. One comment said, “I remember seeing that post and loving it. Thrilled to see that it’s become a reality.”

Hopefully Raven can continue to bring features like this to the game and make players happy. For more, check out how the brand new Champion of Caldera LTM works.

Call of Duty players are terrified that last-gen consoles will ruin Warzone 2

Fans of the battle royale are concerned that Warzone 2’s potential compatibility with last-gen consoles could ruin the game.

Published

Warzone 2 PS4 Xbox One

Players are hoping that the highly anticipated sequel does not include past-gen compatibility, as they fear this could completely ruin the Warzone 2 experience for current-gen users.

The next Call of Duty era is right around the corner, and excitement for Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 has begun to mount ahead of June 2022. Leaks have revealed several details of the battle royale sequel including a new interrogation system and a sneak peek at what the map could look like.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive reaction at this early stage, there are players who are wary of yet to be confirmed aspects of Warzone 2. One of these unknowns is the result of the game’s compatibility with past-gen consoles.

Ghost in Call of Duty Warzone

As it stands, there has not been confirmation concerning Warzone 2’s compatibility with past-gen consoles. While we know for sure that the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, past-gen compatibility has not been confirmed.

However, thanks to Vanguard in-game files, data miners discovered that Modern Warfare 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. This reveal did not sit well with players who took to the Warzone subreddit to discuss the repercussions of a similar experience for Warzone 2.

The player who wrote the original post believes that the overall performance and quality of Warzone 2 could suffer if it has to cater to past-gen hardware. This player is worried that the same limitations holding the current iteration of Warzone back could also plague the sequel.

The comments proved that players were completely split on the issue. Some point to the shortage of current-gen consoles as a valid reason for making Warzone 2 accessible to all, “isolating people cause they don’t have new consoles is stupid and not enough people are on new gen consoles anyway.”

While others had less sympathy, stating that at a certain point developers need to move the overall experience to the next level, “once the new s*** comes out, you need the new console for the new experience and the better graphics etc.”

Early reports from renowned leaker Tom Henderson initially revealed that Warzone 2 would only release on current-gen consoles and PC, but he did not rule out the possibility of a separate version for past-gen players. This solution is similar to what the original post details, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation from the devs to find out if this is even possible.
