Far Cry 6 Season Pass
The Ubisoft Forward event on June 12, 2021, during E3 2021, had a major surprise for the community with the reveal of the Far Cry 6 Season Pass.
This Season Pass will allow players to play as the main villains from Far Cry 3,4 and 5, including Vaas, Pagan, and Joseph.

Far Cry 6 platforms
The first year of the PS5 and Xbox Series X is inevitably going to throw up the constant question of “which consoles will a game release on?” A lot of people are unable to get their hands on the new consoles, whilst some people don’t want to upgrade and therefore need a version for the PS4 and Xbox One.
We can confirm that Far Cry 6 is going to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Far Cry 6 map
The more rural aspects of Far Cry 5 have been swapped out for the exotic features of Yara. Unlike the amazing Far Cry 3, though, a lot of the game will see you bustle your way through backstreets and politically-charged neighborhoods that are heavily-influence by the real-world country of Cuba.
Far Cry 6 feels a lot more urban and more connected, as opposed to the previous games that leave the player wandering alone.
In an interview with Ubisoft Narrative Director Navid Khavari, he said, “the verticality is a complete game-changer. Being able to run across rooftops, use back alleys, fight against some of the toughest opponents in the game in this setting, I think is really unique and fresh. And it completely changes the way the game feels.”
Far Cry 6 story
The game’s official trailer is headlined by a mesmerizing performance from Giancarlo Esposito – known for his recent work in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Boys, and the Mandalorian. He spearheads the game’s natural villain role as Yara’s evil dictator – Antón Castillo.
His foreboding words in the trailer are an attempt to drill his ideology into the head of his 13-year-old son – Diego Castillo. It seems the game will be a marathon adventure of family dissonance as Antón tries to corrupt Diego into following in his ways.
To counteract his deadly political dominance, you’ll take the reins of Dani Rojas, and you’ll have the option of making Dani male or female.
The Ubisoft Forward event during E3 2021 on June 12 showed off the latest story trailer for the game, and sees Dani accompany other Yara inhabitants on a boat to escape the country. However, Castillo is able to stop the boat, and it is soon revealed that his son Diego had tried to stow away on the boat and escape.
Castillo takes his son with him and orders his men to slaughter all of the people on the boat despite his son asking him to spare them. The video cuts to black with gun firing erupting and the fate of Dani unknown.
Far Cry 6 gameplay
The aforementioned environment is going to be completely different than what veteran Far Cry players are used to. The claustrophobic nature of Yara’s tight streets will provide a completely different dynamic than what has been seen previously.
Other than that, we expect a lot of the usual rough and tumble combat with meaty gunplay and a variety of different fight options to make the sandbox feel alive. One screenshot (below) shows a makeshift weapon that implies we could see some deeper customization options and salvaging in Far Cry 6.
Also, “Amigos for Hire” sees a return of the buddy system that allows you to be accompanied by helpers of varying natures. The standout buddy is a physically impaired dog called Chorizo that’s lower-half consists of a wheelchair. In the words of Navid Khavari, “The tease for him is that he literally kills with kindness, that’s all I’m gonna say.
