This date has had to be put back to account for interrupted development caused by the ongoing troubles in the world.

Ubisoft confirmed on May 28, 2021 that the new release date for Far Cry 6 is now officially October 7, 2021.

Far Cry 6 Season Pass

Far Cry 6 Season Pass

The Ubisoft Forward event on June 12, 2021, during E3 2021, had a major surprise for the community with the reveal of the Far Cry 6 Season Pass.

This Season Pass will allow players to play as the main villains from Far Cry 3,4 and 5, including Vaas, Pagan, and Joseph.

You can find the official trailer for the Far Cry 6 Season Pass below:

Far Cry 6 platforms

The first year of the PS5 and Xbox Series X is inevitably going to throw up the constant question of “which consoles will a game release on?” A lot of people are unable to get their hands on the new consoles, whilst some people don’t want to upgrade and therefore need a version for the PS4 and Xbox One.

We can confirm that Far Cry 6 is going to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Far Cry 6 map

yara in far cry 6

The more rural aspects of Far Cry 5 have been swapped out for the exotic features of Yara. Unlike the amazing Far Cry 3, though, a lot of the game will see you bustle your way through backstreets and politically-charged neighborhoods that are heavily-influence by the real-world country of Cuba.

Far Cry 6 feels a lot more urban and more connected, as opposed to the previous games that leave the player wandering alone.

In an interview with Ubisoft Narrative Director Navid Khavari, he said, “the verticality is a complete game-changer. Being able to run across rooftops, use back alleys, fight against some of the toughest opponents in the game in this setting, I think is really unique and fresh. And it completely changes the way the game feels.”

Far Cry 6 story

far cry 6 story father son

The game’s official trailer is headlined by a mesmerizing performance from Giancarlo Esposito – known for his recent work in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Boys, and the Mandalorian. He spearheads the game’s natural villain role as Yara’s evil dictator – Antón Castillo.

His foreboding words in the trailer are an attempt to drill his ideology into the head of his 13-year-old son – Diego Castillo. It seems the game will be a marathon adventure of family dissonance as Antón tries to corrupt Diego into following in his ways.

To counteract his deadly political dominance, you’ll take the reins of Dani Rojas, and you’ll have the option of making Dani male or female.

The Ubisoft Forward event during E3 2021 on June 12 showed off the latest story trailer for the game, and sees Dani accompany other Yara inhabitants on a boat to escape the country. However, Castillo is able to stop the boat, and it is soon revealed that his son Diego had tried to stow away on the boat and escape.

Castillo takes his son with him and orders his men to slaughter all of the people on the boat despite his son asking him to spare them. The video cuts to black with gun firing erupting and the fate of Dani unknown.

Far Cry 6 gameplay

The aforementioned environment is going to be completely different than what veteran Far Cry players are used to. The claustrophobic nature of Yara’s tight streets will provide a completely different dynamic than what has been seen previously.

Other than that, we expect a lot of the usual rough and tumble combat with meaty gunplay and a variety of different fight options to make the sandbox feel alive. One screenshot (below) shows a makeshift weapon that implies we could see some deeper customization options and salvaging in Far Cry 6.

Also, “Amigos for Hire” sees a return of the buddy system that allows you to be accompanied by helpers of varying natures. The standout buddy is a physically impaired dog called Chorizo that’s lower-half consists of a wheelchair. In the words of Navid Khavari, “The tease for him is that he literally kills with kindness, that’s all I’m gonna say.

Far Cry 6 is already shaping up to be another memorable and explosive blockbuster in the incredible franchise.

With the incomparable Giancarlo Esposito on board, a fabulous new setting that shakes up the template, and next-gen graphics to look forward to, Far Cry 6 could be a contender for game of the year in 2021.

It’s time for another FIFA 22 Team of the Week. In FIFA 22 TOTW 5, there are some huge names for people to add to their teams, and the featured player is a former FUT favorite.

Ultimate Team remains the most popular mode in the FIFA series. One of the many reasons for this is incorporating real-world football into its addictive gameplay loop through special cards, such as Icons or the new FUT Heroes.

One of the mode’s oldest special items is the Team of the Week, which offers players a weekly batch of new upgraded cards to help build out their squads. We’ve got everything you need to know about FUT TOTW right here.

We’ll be updating this hub with the latest FIFA 22 TOTW, so be sure to check back here every week.

What are TOTW cards in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team?

Team of the Week items are special cards that boost stats based on that player’s performance in the previous week of real-world games. Any player awarded an in-form will see both their ratings and in-game stats get a permanent increase.

Every week, EA unveils a 23-man squad of the stars who had the best games in the previous domestic or international fixtures round. They could be awarded for a last-minute winner in a big game or a heroic performance from a goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet.

Each TOTW is available in packs for an entire week until it is replaced by the next squad on the following Wednesday. Player’s can not receive an in-form two weeks in a row.

While the in-form card is in packs, it replaces the base version of that player. The normal card will return to packs when that TOTW is over.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team Featured TOTW

In FIFA 22, EA has addressed fans’ complaints that TOTW items are often quickly rendered useless by the other promotional cards added to the game throughout the year.

Every week, one player will receive a special Featured TOTW card. These players will receive a larger boost than the rest of the squad in an attempt to make them more desirable to those building their teams.

To qualify for this additional stat-boost, the player must have a base card that is under 80-rated and not have any other performance-based card in packs – such as a Ones to Watch.

When is the TOTW released?

Historically, EA announces the latest TOTW every Wednesday so that any Monday night games can be considered.

No specific time has been set for when the team will be announced. However, so far, they have tended to surface at around 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 4 PM BST.

We’ll update this post with an exact schedule as and when it is available.

Team of the Week

Team of the Week 1 in FIFA 22

Team of the Week cards have been a staple of Ultimate Team for many years, providing a steady stream of fresh cards based on real-world performances.

Every Wednesday, the best performers from the latest round of domestic or international fixtures are given an upgrade to replace their normal card in packs for that week.

Ones to Watch

Ones to Watch Team 2 FIFA 22

EA’s go-to for kicking off a new season, Ones to Watch cards are dynamic items that could be upgraded consistently throughout the year.

These special cards are awarded to players who have been part of a high-profile move in the latest transfer window.

OTWs automatically boost themselves to match the highest-rated TOTW week that player has earned, and stay there until their next in-form.

Road to the Knockouts

Road to the Knockouts Team 1

Road to the Knockouts is a new promotion for FIFA 22, celebrating the three European competitions clubs can compete during the 2021/22 season – the Champions League, Europa League, and Europa Conference League.

Chosen players whose teams win three out of their last four group stage games, or qualify the knockout stages, are given permanent boosts to their cards.

Record-breakers

Record-breakers, much as the name suggests, are awarded to players who have entered the record books over the last year.

For example, in FIFA 22, expect the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to be included for setting the international goal record.

These cards tend to be a one-off upgrade but significantly boost a players’ stats.

Rulebreakers

FIFA 22 Rulebreakers

FIFA traditionally gets a promotion every Halloween. What started as Ultimate Scream changed into Rulebreakers with FIFA 21.

These cards give big boosts to players, but also fundamentally alter the way they player by swapping around their stats.

Sluggish strikers may lose some finishing ability in favor of pace, while attacking full-backs may become solid defenders.

Team of the Group Stage

Team of the Group stage in FIFA 21

While Road to the Knockouts rewards team performance, the Team of the Group stage is all about individual brilliance.

These are one-off special cards given to the top performers across every European tournaments group stage, whether it be a prolific goalscorer or anchor at the back.

The beauty of TOTGS is that the player’s team doesn’t even have to qualify for the knockouts to be recognized.

FUTMAS / Freeze

Freeze cards in FIFA 21

Christmas is always kind to Ultimate Team players thanks to the yearly FUTMAS (or Freeze) promo that EA rolls out.

Here, fans are treated to a steady rollout of special cards and SBCs to celebrate the festivities, each and every day.

Road to the Final

FIFA 21 Road to the Final Team 1

Similar to Road to the Knockouts, RTTF cards constantly upgrade based on a player’s team’s performance in Europe.

This time, upgrades are awarded for individual wins in two-legged knockout matches, as well as progressing to the next round.

Road to the Final players can grow into some of the game’s cards if their team goes all the way.

Headliners

FIFA 21 Headliners cards

Headliners is a promotion that celebrates the best players of the season so far and gives them an extremely desirable card.

These dynamic items always stay one rating higher than a player’s highest-rated Team of the Week, meaning they can continue to grow throughout the year.

Team of the Year

FIFA 21 Team of the Year

The most prestigious and expensive cards in every FUT season, Team of the Year collects a squad of the best players from the previous 12 months and gives them an incredible stat boost.

TOTY is only reserved for the best of the best, and 99-rated cards aren’t unusual to see.

This has made them some of the rarest and most overpowered players in Ultimate Team history.

Future Stars

FIFA 21 Future Stars Team 2

This one is all about the youngsters who are set to light up the world stage in the years to come.

While their base cards might be unusable because of their age, Future Stars cards are a glimpse at what a starlet may look like if they live up to their full potential.

The likes of Curtis Jones and Ansu Fati were rated in the high 80s and low 90s in FIFA 21, suddenly making them some of the game’s best players.

FUT Birthday

FUT Birthday in FIFA 21
FIFA 21 FUT Hub (In Menus)

Every year, EA celebrates Ultimate Team’s birthday with a festival full of quirky cards, SBCs, and objectives.

This is where FIFA looks back at the fan-favorite players who have dominated previous FUT years and brings them back with big upgrades.

If you’re a long-time player, you’re bound to recognize a lot of these cards.

Team of the Season

FIFA 21 Team of the Season

Possibly the most popular promotion in all of FIFA, Team of the Season rewards the best players from every major league for their displays throughout the real football season.

Every week, a new league of TOTS players are placed in packs with massive upgrades from their normal cards.

There’s also plenty of SBCs and objectives to complete, as well as a fan-voted team to take part in.

FUTTIES

FIFA 21 FUTTIES

While most other promotions are based on real-life football, FUTTIES is a victory lap for the current version of FIFA itself.

Throughout the event, meta players who have been popular throughout the year, like Gabriel Jesus or Ben Yedder, are pitted against each other in fan votes.

The winner is given a heavily upgraded FUTTIES card to help them compete with the hundreds of other special players in everyone’s club.

So there you have it, that was every single promotion and special card we’re expecting to land in FUT this year.

EA may well have some more tricks up their sleeve, so stay tuned on Charlie INTEL for the latest updates.

Diogo Jota’s incredible 20 million coin FIFA 22 team revealed

Liverpool’s Diogo Jota is a known FIFA fan, and his unreal FIFA 22 Ultimate Team squad is already worth over 20 million coins.

Published

on

Diogo Jota FIFA 22 team

Liverpool’s Portuguese star Diogo Jota is well-known for his ability on the real pitch, but he’s also a big fan of the virtual game. One FIFA 22 player has revealed the striker’s FUT team after matching against him in Division Rivals.

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team attracts millions of players each and every day, whether it’s for a casual game of Squad Battles or to compete in Division Rivals.

But it’s easy to forget that many professional footballers also jump into FIFA 22 when they’re not training.

One excited fan happened to match against Liverpool’s Diogo Jota, whose team, even in October, would strike fear into the most hardened of FIFA veterans.

Ronaldo walkout pack

Diogo Jota is well-known for his FIFA prowess, as he notoriously went 30-0 in FUT Champions on FIFA 21, so it’s no surprise that one fan ran into him in the Elite Division of Division Rivals

The screenshots shared by a Reddit user only show us the starting XI, but it’s clear that his team is worth well over 20 million coins.

We can confirm that the squad does belong to Diogo Jota, as his team name and online ID match-up from FIFA 21.

Check out his full lineup, as well as the value of each card, below:

  • GK – Lev Yashin (ICON) – 644,000
  • LB – Ferland Mendy – 119,000
  • CB – Raphael Varane – 295,000
  • CB – Marquinhos (RTTK) – 670,000
  • RB – Achraf Hakimi (OTW) – 378,000
  • CM – Patrick Viera (ICON)
  • LM – Kylian Mbappe – 1.74 million
  • CAM – Ronaldo (ICON) – 12.1 million
  • CAM – Ruud Gullit (ICON) – 8.4 million
  • ST – Cristiano Ronaldo – 1.23 million

In the past, professional players would be handed a 99-rated version of themselves to use in-game, partly as a bit of fun, but mainly so that fans could recognize when they were playing one of their heroes.

EA has done away with this feature in FIFA 22, meaning there is no room for Jota in his own FUT squad.

That’s not to say his team was easily beatable – it still contained some of the rarest and most expensive players FUT coins can buy.

Player shooting in FIFA 22

Despite Jota’s team being packed with superstars past and present, he ultimately fell to a 1-0 defeat once the game kicked off.

That being said, we still don’t want to run into him on Rivals or FUT Champs any time soon.
