Everything we know about Fortnite Winterfest 2020: leaks, dates & more
Fortnite Winterfest 2020 is nearly here. Let’s take a look at everything we know.
Season 5 of Fortnite kicked off after an epic fight with Galactus at the finale of Season 4. So far, Season 5 has given up plenty of content at launch, with the introduction of Disney’s “The Mandalorian” in the Battle Pass
Adding to the pile of new content, we should hopefully be seeing another Winterfest this year, as we did in 2019. It may not bear the same name as last year, but the idea should be similar.
When will the event begin?
The event in 2019 ran from December 18 to January 6, and the event in 2018 ran from December 20 to January 2. The date ranges seem to begin in the third weeks of December, so a good bet for when to begins should be after December 20.
It could also creep in a bit earlier, perhaps Friday, December 18, but that may be wishful thinking.
All Winter Event Leaks
Recently, data miners have run into quite a few leaks. We have leaker HypeX, who found a slurp bazooka, fire extinguisher, and a snowman NPC in the game.
The snowman NPC will probably give players quests, bounties, and the same thing that other Season 5 NPCs do – with a wintery twist. Perhaps, you can choose to kill the snowman for loot if you’re feeling heartless.
Another leaker, ShiinaBR, revealed a new playable character skin, Snowmando. He does not have a shop tag, which could mean he could be the free skin for the upcoming event. Of course, this is only speculation.
This of course is subject to change as there is no official confirmation of Snowmando being a free character.
Last up, we have info from LunakisLeaks, who claims that there will be a Christmas Flopper coming to the game.
Note this is only in-game code. There is no images to support this rumor.
Overall, Fortnite will surely have another Holiday event. It should launch around the third week of December and hopefully include lots of free new content and skins for players.
