Despite recent nerfs, the NZ-41 is still one of the best weapons in Warzone Season 4, but Ean ‘FaZe Booya’ Chase has revealed that a fan-favorite Cold War AR is just as much of a menace on Rebirth Island.

Warzone players have a lot to think about when it comes to Season 4’s Assault Rifle meta. Due to Caldera, Rebirth Island, and Fortune’s Keep all being in the rotation of maps, choosing the best weapons to use often comes down to your surroundings.

When it comes to Rebirth Island and Fortune’s Keep, Warzone expert FaZe Booya believes weapons that excel at medium-range could potentially outshine the most dominant long-range weapons in the game.

Best XM4 loadout for Warzone Pacific

A July 7 Warzone update delivered the third NZ-41 nerf in a row after the weapon was deemed overpowered. Unfortunately, it remains one of the best long-range options in the game, but nerfs have allowed other weapons to close the gap slightly.

One of these weapons is Cold War’s classic XM4 Assault Rifle which is well-liked by many. FaZe Booya claims that for medium-range encounters on Rebirth Island, the XM4 can rival the notorious NZ-41.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 13.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Magazine: 45 Rnd

While the NZ-41 is still notably superior on a map like Caldera where its accuracy can shine, Booya explains that this isn’t always the case: “I know they nerfed the XM4 a lot, but it really does do so well on Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep, those medium-range maps.”

Booya’s XM4 attachments are quite standard when it comes to Warzone Assault Rifles, as maximizing accuracy, recoil control, and range is the goal.

Players can opt for the 60 or 45 Rnd magazine, but Booya believes the 45 Rnd is plenty to get the job done on Rebirth Island. The XM4’s high rate of fire and excellent medium damage range allow it to maximize its potential on Rebirth Island in Season 4 of Warzone.
