FaZe star Kris ‘Swagg’ Lamberson has been revisiting classic Warzone guns and believes Cold War’s FFAR 1 is still top tier and rivals the MP40.

The FFAR will always be remembered as one of Warzone’s most powerful weapons. It was incredibly powerful when first ported over to Warzone from Cold War, being an Assault Rifle that could outgun any other weapon in the game.

Raven Software worked hard to tame the beast, and it hasn’t seen much love since the Pacific update. However, top streamer FaZe Swagg said he’s been “using it a ton” and it rivals the best SMGs, including the MP40.

The FFAR was once one of the most popular weapons in Warzone but nerfs and Vanguard’s guns arriving means it’s currently at number 35 on WZRanked. But that hasn’t stopped Swagg from trying it out, with the streamer saying it “competes against every single SMG in the game right now.”

“This is a gun they’ve nerfed like five or six times,” explained Swagg. “Its TTK compared to the Vanguard guns is ridiculous. It kills so fast and has great range.”

Using the FFAR alongside the C58, Swagg and his team dropped 108 kills in Caldera and he said “the plays I had with this gun were just nuts, it felt so good.”

  • Muzzle: Suppressor
  • Barrel: 21.2″ Ranger
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd
  • Rear Grip: Serpent Wrap

Swagg revealed that the FFAR has been one of his most highly-requested loadouts after he used it to dominate Caldera.

He kicked it off with the Suppressor attachment, which hides shots from the minimap and increases the FFAR’s mobility. Then, the 21.2″ Ranger barrel increases its range and recoil control, making it much more versatile.

To further help its mobility and allow it to rival SMGs, Swagg equipped the FFAR with the Raider Stock and Serpent Wrap, which boost its ADS speed, sprint to fire time, and ADS walking speed.

Finally, the STANAG 50 Rnd mag ensured he had enough bullets to take on full teams at once without having to reload.
