Warzone expert Kris ‘FaZe Swagg’ Lamberson has rediscovered a forgotten Warzone AR by turning it into a deadly loadout that resembles MW2’s TAR-21.

Warzone pro FaZe Swagg is known as a Call of Duty forward-thinker who isn’t afraid to experiment with new weapons. His latest venture into Warzone loadouts has led to a discovery of a powerful Assault Rifle class that is just as dominant on Rebirth Island as it is on Caldera.

Several of the current weapons available in Warzone are modeled after Call of Duty weapons of the past. The connection may not seem obvious at first but, FaZe Swagg has revived the forgotten RAM-7 Assault Rifle by transforming it into the fan-favorite TAR-21 from Modern Warfare 2.

Despite never truly grasping the Warzone spotlight, the RAM-7 has always been a highly versatile weapon that can excel at short-range and long-range. For this reason, Swagg is able to find success with the RAM-7 loadout on Rebirth Island and Caldera.

The TAR-21 and RAM-7 share an extremely high rate of fire which once again contributes to its hybrid use as an SMG/AR. In addition, both weapons boast a slightly obtrusive iron sight that makes using an optic a necessity. Swagg picks specific attachments that truly make the RAM-7 feel like the TAR-21.

  • Barrel: FSS Ranger
  • Optic: Corp Combat Holo Sight
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Magazine: 50 Round Mags
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

Swagg pairs the RAM-7 with a Kar98k and the video showcases just how well the weapons work together. He certainly has all bases covered when it comes to dominating from any distance.

As previously mentioned, an Optic is definitely recommended and Swagg opts for the Corp Combat Holo Sight as it seems to suit the weapon more than a traditional Red Dot Sight. The RAM-7 recoil is easy enough to control thanks to the Merc Foregrip, but Swagg also includes the Stippled Grip Tape to counter the reduction of ADS speed.

In the video, Swagg’s gameplay speaks for itself but he also had this to say, “this thing was unstoppable, I didn’t lose a gunfight on Rebirth to any gun – or Caldera.” Modern Warfare weapons are still fully capable of dominating Warzone gunfights and Swagg proves this by transforming the RAM-7 into the TAR-21.
