A brand new FUT Versus promotion has hit FIFA 22, and here’s everything we know about it including objectives, SBCs, and the players on FUT Versus Fire and FUT Versus Ice.

Traditionally, Ultimate Team players have always received a generous amount of promos around the winter season. With Christmas fast approaching, players can expect the new and exciting FUT Versus promo to hit FIFA 22.

FUT Freeze was such a monumental hit last year in Ultimate Team, so it’s a bit of a surprise to see it altered already. However, Versus looks to up the ante and make it even more exciting than it already was.

Here is all the information related to FUT Versus that fans of Ultimate Team should keep in mind.

FUT Versus start date

Thanks to information from FIFA 22’s Ultimate Team loading screens, we know FUT Versus Fire dropped on Friday, December 10, 2021. As is customary with most promotions, players could access the promotion at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT / 7 PM CET.

Players had the chance to secure Versus Fire items in Ultimate Team packs until Monday, December 13 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM GMT / 7 PM CET, when they were replaced with the corresponding Versus Ice version.

Fifa 22 Ultimate Team FUT Versus Fire

Contrary to popular belief, last year’s FUT Freeze players weren’t selected based on actual club performances. So EA clearly has special criteria they mark players against to determine if they’re worthy for FUT Versus.

Last year, the idea of the promo was to alter the player’s position. This leads to utilizing players in positions that do not correspond with their style of play. This year, the players are staying in their natural positions.

The interesting thing to note about FUT Versus is that instead of just one ‘freeze’ card, there is also a contrasting ‘fire card.’ The assumption is that one player will have two different upgrade cards possible, similar to the Rulebreakers SBC, and it could increase a player’s weak foot or skill moves.

You can see the FUT Versus Ice team below. The players will remain the same but keep a close eye on their stat changes.

The FUT Versus promo players are as followed:

  • Marcus Rashford – Manchester United
  • Jules Kounde – Sevilla
  • Joe Gomez – Liverpool
  • Alexis Claude-Maurice – Nice
  • Gabriel Jesus – Manchester City
  • Adama Traore – Wolves
  • Angel Correa – Atletico Madrid
  • Kevin Mbabu – Wolfsburg
  • Federico Valverde – Real Madrid
  • Roberto Pereyra – Udinese
  • Nico Schulz – Borussia Dortmund

FUT Versus Objectives and SBCs

Pulisic SBC

Players will have the luxury of choosing between two Christian Pulisic items. If you’re looking to complete this SBC as a part of the FUT Versus promo you might want to take a look at how the stats differ on these two items. Fire Pulisic has better shooting and a 5* weak foot, while Ice Pulisic has improved passing and 5* skills.

Furthermore, players will be able to complete FUT Versus objectives to earn Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico and Benfica left-midfielder Everton. Much like Pulisic, one Everton boasts better shooting while the other has improved passing. When it comes to Tagliafico, players will have to choose between a boost in defending or dribbling.

Alongside player pick Pulisic, FUT players will also get to decide between Fire Dries Mertens and Ice Dries Mertens. You’ll have to complete the corresponding SBC to access the Belgian’s card.

That just about covers everything we know about FIFA 22’s FUT Versus promo so far. We’ll be updating this page as new information comes to light about this exciting, hot (and cold) promotion
