How to set FIFA Point limits in FIFA 22

FIFA Points are a quick and easy way to open packs in FIFA 22, but they can only be bought using real-world money. If you’re looking to crack down on your spending in FUT this year, you can with the Playtime feature.

The rush of opening packs is what keeps FIFA 22 Ultimate Team appealing throughout the season. FIFA players are always on the hunt for that next special card to walk out and change their FUT squads.

As well as rewards and SBCs, FIFA Points are a way of opening packs that require real money. We’ve all been there, but you might want to set a limit on many FIFA Points you can buy to make sure you’re only spending what you can afford.

Luckily, the Playtime feature lets you do exactly that. Here’s how to use to set FIFA Point limits in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.

Before you can start setting restrictions on how you play FIFA 22, you’ll need to opt-in to Playtime.

Playtime is a feature EA added in FIFA 21 that tracks the time and money you spend in-game, from the number of matches you played to the FUT packs you opened in the last week.

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to enable Playtime in FIFA 22.

  1. Load in to the FIFA 22 main menu
  2. Head over to the Customize tile
  3. Select Playtime
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to enable the Share Playtime Usage Data option
  5. Playtime will now keep track of how much you play across all FIFA 22 modes

It’s worth noting that Playtime also takes any time spent or packs opened on the FUT Web App into account when working out your stats.

Once Playtime is up and running, you can start setting restrictions on the number of FIFA Points you want to buy per week.

Here’s how to adjust your weekly FIFA Point limit in FIFA 22:

  1. Drop into the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team main menu
  2. Scroll over to the Club tab and hit Settings
  3. Click on FIFA Points Purchase Limit then Edit Limit
  4. Enter the amount you want your weekly limit to be
  5. Now, you will be met with a message if you try to buy more than this number of points in a week

You can change your FIFA Point limit at any time, but this is a great way to keep on top of your FUT spending and ensure you’re only buying FIFA Points you can afford.

If you’re also someone who finds themselves putting too much time into FIFA each week, you can also limit the number of matches you can play. Simply follow the same method, but select the Match Limits tile.

That was everything you need to know about using Playtime in FIFA 22 to make sure you’re enjoying the game in the right way.
