FIFA 23 Career Mode: Best free agents & contract expiry players
FIFA 23 Career Mode will be full of free agents and contract expiry players for you to snap up. Here are the best you should look out for.

It’s never too early to start preparing for your first FIFA 23 Career Mode, and managers will already have an eye on the signings they want to make. The Transfer Market is full of free agents and contract expiries you can sign, so here are some of the best bargains available.
The countdown to FIFA 23 is well and truly on, as players eagerly await what EA has in store for them this year. Since the last year before the big EA Sports FC rebrand takes place, expectations are higher than ever before.
While Ultimate Team and the promised World Cup content will no doubt take center stage, FIFA 23 Career Mode is still a massive draw. The journey of taking a new or existing club from mid-table obscurity to European glory is tough to beat, so it’s no surprise that Career Mode remains a highly popular feature year after year.
The secret to a good Career Mode is making the right signings, but stricter budgets can make it difficult to attract top talent. Luckily, there are plenty of free agents and contract expiry players in FIFA 23 Career Mode that can help you build a winning squad without breaking the bank.

What are free agents in FIFA 23 Career Mode?
Free agents are players that have reached the end of their contract with a club and are currently without a team.
These players can be picked up without having to fork over a transfer fee, as there is no club to negotiate with. Instead, you simply have to agree personal terms with the player themselves by haggling over weekly wages and bonuses.
Signing free agents is an effective strategy if you’re managing a lower league team and don’t have the funds to splash big fees on a single player.
What are contract expiry players in FIFA 23 Career Mode?
On the other hand, contract expiry players are those who are still playing for a club but are nearing the end of their current deal.
When approaching stars with less than a year on their contract, managers have two options; they can either wait until January and agree a pre-contract with no transfer fee or snap them up early at a fraction of their market value.
There are some great bargains to be found on expiring contracts, so be sure to keep an eye on big names running their deals down.

FIFA 23 players can’t play beta after crashing & connection errors: How to fix
While FIFA 23 players were excited to play the beta, crashing and connection errors are ruining the fun. Here’s how to fix the errors on PS5.
Several players are reporting that they cannot access the FIFA 23 beta due to crashing and connection errors. If you’re hoping to get a first look at the new game, here’s how to fix FIFA 23’s beta bugs.
FIFA 23’s close beta went live on August 11 and countless players rushed to their platforms to get a first look at EA Sports’ new iteration of the franchise. Unfortunately, a considerable amount of players were met with FIFA 23 beta bugs that prevented them from accessing the game.
This is far from an ideal situation as the beta is only available until September 1. It seems the luck of players who were fortunate enough to receive a code for the closed beta is beginning to change.
However, there’s no real reason to worry as we’ll provide a fix for the FIFA 23 beta errors to get you back into matches.
It turns out there are a few separate FIFA 23 beta errors that are ruining the fun at the moment. One of the errors leads to the game crashing after players attempt to open the FIFA 23 application. This one is particularly frustrating as players can’t even get to the main menu to access any of the modes on offer.
Meanwhile, other players can access the menu but cannot play any modes, including the Kick-Off mode that should be available to everyone. With the player unable to select a mode, the FIFA 23 beta becomes utterly useless.
How to fix FIFA 23 beta errors on PS5
To fix the connection and crashing errors for FIFA 23’s beta you have to delete friends on your PlayStation account until you have less than 100. The issues were primarily impacting players on PS5.
This should work for PS5 players, while others are reporting that completing training matches eventually unlocks other modes. It seems there are more than a few bugs that players have to deal with. For the time being the method above is your best bet until the devs address these issues.
EA have yet to comment, but with the FIFA 23 beta available until September 1, there’s no doubt that they will work on delivering a fix for players soon.

FIFA 23’s new FUT Moments rewards have Ultimate Team players delighted
In FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, players can earn more rewards than ever thanks to the new FUT Moments mode, leaving many delighted.
The prospect of earning Ultimate Team rewards is one of the mode’s main attractions, and this year players will have more opportunities to do so than ever thanks to FIFA 23’s new FUT Moments feature.
FIFA players are always looking for more ways to grind and sink hours into their favorite football game. For some time, the Ultimate Team mode has allowed players to earn rewards through Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Champions.
Luckily, FIFA 23 players will have another method to earn rewards for their squad thanks to the new FUT Moments Ultimate Team mode. This single-player offering is one of many new additions to the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 23.
The mode will task players with completing a number of specific objectives. These objectives will often be short scenarios where players hop into already started matches. The scenarios will be based on legendary moments and memorable real-life football matches.
The good news for players is that completing scenarios will result in stars earned. Stars will be a new currency in Ultimate Team with valuable rewards up for grabs. Each reward will have a certain price set in stars.
For example, a Premium Gold Pack could cost 12 stars to unlock. FUT Moments is being tipped as a standalone live service, with new challenges added after release. Much to the delight of players, FUT Moments will provide extra achievements to grind for alongside Ultimate Team’s usual offerings.
Players on Reddit have already begun discussing the impact FUT Moments will have on FIFA 23’s Ultimate Team experience. The vast majority of comments were positive such as this one: “This is such a W, it adds more grind potential for everyone and also gives people that like to focus on single player only something else to do.”
Players absolutely love to earn packs and improve Ultimate Team squads with new players, and FUT Moments gives them yet another method to do so.
In addition, the same player noted that “FUT Stars you win from this never expire and transfer across seasons, that is really great news too.” The most valuable FUT Moments rewards are likely going to set players back a hefty amount of stars. Therefore, the fact that stars do not expire after every season is seen as a massive win for all FUT fans.
One player explained just how efficient this new mode could be by comparing it to Squad Battles: “It’s also fast sessions of gameplay. No boring 15 min. squad battles games, they’re quick scenarios that can be completed in 2/3 mins.”
While playing Squad Battles offers valuable rewards, the gameplay is hated by many as it’s a slow offline path to rewards. In comparison, FUT Moments has the ability to place players on the fast track to new Ultimate Team rewards.
