FIFA 23 OTW upgrade tracker: Ones to Watch upgrades explained
Our FIFA 23 Ones to Watch tracker highlights every OTW player upgrade in one spot so you can keep track of the electrifying cards that received a boost in Ultimate Team.
The Ones to Watch promo in FIFA 23 is a rare example of an Ultimate Team promo that delivers cards at the start of the game that remain viable even several months into the cycle. For this reason, players snapped up as many Ones to Watch cards as possible.
The classic OTW promo highlighted the most exciting moves from the summer transfer window and these players are eligible for some major upgrades. If you’ve packed, bought, or secured any OTW players through SBCs or Objectives, you’re going to want to track their upgrades.
The OTW upgrade tracker showcases which players received an upgrade boost thanks to real-life performances.

Unfortunately, OTW Tyler Adams is the only player to have failed to earn a Wins to Watch upgrade. The chance at a World Cup upgrade has also come and gone, which means TOTW upgrades are the only method remaining.
Robert Lewandowski and Gabriel Jesus are the latest recipients of a TOTW upgrade, after receiving one for their recent performances on April 5.

FUT Ones to Watch upgrades explained
The Ones to Watch cards in FIFA 23 are live cards eligible for upgrades and EA Sports will deliver OTW upgrades by using real-life results. There are three methods involved in determining OTW upgrades in FIFA 23 and we’ll list them below.
TOTW upgrade
For starters, “Ones To Watch items will upgrade when they receive a performance-based special item such as Team of the Week or Man of the Match.” If this is the case, your Ones to Watch card will mirror the stats of the TOTW card.
This means that players can earn more than one upgrade via TOTW if a player earns multiple in-form cards throughout FIFA 23. In addition, if the player meets the requirements for the following two upgrades, they will stack on top of the latest TOTW stats.
Wins to Watch
The second method was called ‘Wins to Watch’ and it involves the player’s club winning domestic matches. If a player’s club won three of their eight domestic league matches as of September 30, they would receive a one-time +1 upgrade. Players were eligible for this upgrade whether they featured in the game or not.
Nations to Watch
The next method was called ‘Nations to Watch’ and it also used wins to determine an upgrade, but this time players had to monitor International play at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The competition kicked off on November 20, and players whose nation won a game at the World Cup received a one-time +1 upgrade.
The player did not have to be involved with the national team squad to be eligible for the upgrade.
