You’ll want to earn all of the rewards available in FIFA 23 to improve your Ultimate Team, and Squad Battles is not to be overlooked. Here’s an overview of the Squad Battles format and the rewards on offer.

Squad Battles isn’t exactly the most exhilarating Ultimate Team mode, but players looking to stockpile rewards will want to grind matches. Squad Battles is an offline mode in which players face off against FIFA 23‘s AI.

In FIFA 23, there are more rewards up for grabs than ever with Division Rivals, FUT Moments, FUT Champions, and Squad Battles. Unlike other modes, players can select their preferred difficulty in Squad Battles, but keep in mind this will impact the quality of your rewards.

Let’s take a look at the Squad Battles format and the rewards for each rank in FIFA 23.

FIFA 23 Squad Battles format explained

The Squad Battles mode in Ultimate Team allows you to face off against randomly selected squads owned by real FUT players. These squads will be controlled by FIFA 23’s AI, which means it’s an offline mode.

Players can earn a certain number of points during these offline matches. The difficulty, result, goals scored, clean sheets, and more impact the number of points you’ll accumulate after a match.

Your points will determine your Squad Battles rank as you move up the ladder. Every Sunday your rank is confirmed and you’ll earn rewards based on how far you’ve climbed. The maximum amount of Squad Battles matches you can play in a week is 42.

In FIFA 23 you can expect to receive your Squad Battles rewards Sunday morning at 12:00 AM PT / 3:00 AM ET / 8:00 AM BST. As soon as rewards are handed out, players can begin playing matches to contribute points to the new week.

This year, EA have slightly lowered the rewards available, offering less to players who rise up the ranks. However, the devs have previously altered rewards throughout the year, so we’ll keep you up to date when it comes to changes.
