Final Black Ops 4 Box Art confirms ESRB rating (M) and internet required

Amazon has updated their site with the final version of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 box art. The artwork on the box is the same, but what’s new is what’s in the lower left side of the box art.

The artwork officially confirms (no surprises here…) that Black Ops 4 ESRB rating is MATURE. The content descriptors for the game are Blood and Gore, Drug References, Intense Violence, and Strong Language.

In addition, the box art also states that Internet is Required in order to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, seeing as there’s no offline campaign in this game. The box art wording is a little similar to Call of Duty: WWII’s which also said “Requires Internet.” This could be for a Day 1 Content Update that is required in order to play, similar to past Call of Duty games. The box arts for games are now required to show if internet is needed for updates in order to play.

There’s no indication yet if internet is constantly required to play Black Ops 4, so we’ll let you know as we hear more on that.

Also if you are someone who is purchasing the Black Ops 4 Mystery Box Edition, here’s the packaging that this edition will come in:
