Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth gives the original a whole new look and feel but does the original cast return? Here, we’ll reveal all of the FF7 Rebirth voice actors so you know if you’re going to be hearing those iconic portrayals once more.

Square Enix have a long cast of returning artists that are ready to give their voices to the legendary characters of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In the new entry, players are going to continue the story of Avalanche and their adventures across the game’s many regions.

As always, the Final Fantasy team has gathered a list of incredibly talented voice actors and actresses. If you’re wondering which Japanese and English artists are behind your favorite voices, here’s everybody you’ll hear in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Cloud Strife (JP: Takahiro Sakurai / EN: Cody Christian)

Cody Christian is playing the role of Cloud Strife in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Christian is best known for his work in the TV series “Teen Wolf” as Theo Raeken, although gamers will surely know him as the first voice of Cloud in Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020), Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (2022), Chocobo GP (2022), and Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier (2021).

Takahiro Sakurai is the Japanese voice actor who lends his voice to Cloud Strife. Sakurai is best known for voicing Suzaku in the anime “Code Geass” (2006), Satsunjinki in “Akudama Drive” (2020), and his work as Cloud Strife in the movie “Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children” (2005).

Barret Wallace (JP: Masato Funaki / EN: John Eric Bentley)

John Eric Bentley (right) has plenty of experience working for video games.

John Eric Bentley is the English voice of Barret Wallace in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Bentley is best known for his work in the movies “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” (2009), and “Resident Evil: Extinction” (2007). He has also lent his voice to video games such as Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name (2023), Starfield (2023), Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon (2023), Dead Island 2 (2023), and more.

Masato Funaki is the Japanese voice actor who lends his voice to Barret Wallace. Funaki is best known for voicing Groot in Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers (2014), and for his work in the anime Naruto: Shippuden (2007).

Tifa Lockhart (JP: Ayumi Ito / Britt Baron)

Britt Baron is playing the role of Tifa Lockhart in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Baron is best known for his work in the TV series Glow (2017) and has lent her voice to video games such as Starfield (2023), Star Wars Jedi: Survivo” (2023), Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (2022), Destiny: The Witch Queen (2022), and more.

Ayumi Ito is a Japanese voice actress who lends her voice to Tifa. Ito is known for her work in “Far Cry 6” (2021), Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (2022), Final Fantasy VII Remake (2020), and Final Fantasy Brave Exvius: War of the Visions (2019).

Maaya Sakamoto is a Japanese voice actress who lends her voice to Aerith. Suzie Yeung is the American voice actress who voices Yuffie Kisaragi in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Matthew Mercer is playing the role of Vincent Valentine in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Mercer is best known for his work in the TV series Thundercats (2011) although gamers will surely know him for Batman: Akrham Origins (2013), Resident Evil: Damnation (2012), and Fallout 4 (2015).

Shogu Suzuki is the Japanese voice actor of Vincent, who has also played him in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (2005, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion (2022).

Sephiroth (JP: Toshiyuki Morikawa / EN: Tyler Hoechlin)

Toshiyuki Morkawa (left) is a legendary Japanese voice actor in both video games and anime.

Tyler Hoechlin is playing the famous Sephiroth in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Hoechlin is best known for his starring role in Road to Perdition (2002), and his participation in the TV series Teen Wolf (2011). Toshiyuki Morikawa is the Japanese voice actor responsible for voicing Sephiroth.
