FF7 Rebirth offers a large array of side quests to keep you busy, and Protorelics give you some cool rewards, lore, and puzzles to solve. Here is everything you need to know about Protorelic quests, their rewards, and how to complete them.

Protorelics in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are questlines that take you into different parts of the world to solve puzzles and fight enemies to obtain important lore about the world. The quests are time-consuming, but they expand the game’s lore and showcase some of the best minigames in Rebirth.

Protorelic quests are worth the effort in FF7 Rebirth, and here’s everything you need to know about them.

FF7 Rebirth Protorelic quests explained

The Protorelics side quests in FF7 Rebirth are region-specific quests that include minigames and some interesting lore about the series’ legendary character, Gilgamesh

In total, there are seven Protorelic side quests that you can find in FF7 Rebirth. They each offer a minigame relevant to the region they’re in, and some of them even give you some lore about Gilgamesh’s whereabouts.

You can find some stories that feature characters from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, like the Turks, and others that give a lot of background lore about the main cast.

Each Protorelic side quest can be found in a different region with specific minigames and rewards tied to them:

  • Grasslands Region
  • Junon Region
  • Corel Region
  • Gongaga Region
  • Cosmo Canyon Region
  • Nibelheim Region
  • Meridian Ocean

FF7 Rebirth Protorelic quests rewards

The FF7 Rebirth Protorelic quests will give you World Intel, information on what Gilgamesh is doing, a special summon, and the ability to craft late-game accessories.

You won’t be able to get all rewards and complete all Protorelic Intels until you are facing Chapter 13, so complete them at your own pace.

How to complete FF7 Rebirth Protorelic quests

Protorelic quests can be completed in FF7 Rebirth by finishing the Protorelic Intels to find the relic at the end. Each region has four Protorelic Intels, and completing them awards the party with the region-specific Protorelic.

The Grasslands in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
You can find Protorelic quests in different regions of the map.

You’re going to have to find pieces of a relic associated with each quest. This is done through completing minigames, getting some enemies out of the way, and locating the places where the relics are found

Fort Condor in the Junon region is one of the more significant minigames you will encounter when looking for these relics. It will require some more strategy than the Grasslands Protorelic quest, where all you need to do is take down some enemies, or the Gongaga region ones, where VR fights are involved.

Once you have completed each of the seven quests and have every Summon materia at full strength, you will get access to challenges that require you to battle all Summons and the fierce Gilgamesh.

That’s everything to know about Protorelic quests and their rewards. If you want to know more about FF7 Rebirth, you can check out our list of guides below.
