Can you preload Final Fantasy 16?
Yes, you will be able to preload Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 16 so long as you have purchased the game before its release date on June 22, 2023.

Final Fantasy 16 is a timed exclusive for PlayStation 5, so, unfortunately, the game will not be available for preload or launch on Xbox or PC.
When & how to preload Final Fantasy 16
Players will be able to preload Final Fantasy 16 on PlayStation 5 as of June 20, 2023. We expect it to go live at Midnight. The preload will be available on the PlayStation store:
- Head to the PlayStation store on or after June 20.
- Locate the Final Fantasy 16 game page.
- Purchase the game.
- Once purchased, you will have access to the preload option.
- Select preload to download the game prior to the release date.
If you’ve already pre-ordered the game, simply head to your library, locate the game, and from June 20 you will see an option to preload Final Fantasy 16.

Final Fantasy 16’s download size will be 90.18 GB according to PlayStationSize, so make sure you have enough free space to download or preload the game when you want to.
