Final Fantasy XIV: The Forbidden Land Eureka explained
Eureka is a special instanced content separated from the main FFXIV experience where players can farm the Stormblood Relic weapon in an old-school MMO take.
By starting the content, players will be transported to a whole new area with up to 144 other players to complete missions, FATEs, and more in a new location. By tackling quests in The Forbidden Land Eureka, you will earn various rewards, such as each upgrade for your Relic Weapon, mounts, and fancy armor.
There’s a limited amount of time to be AFK in Eureka, so if you like the instance you are in or enjoy the players grinding out FATEs, stay in and play as much as you can. If you want to avoid the 10-minute AFK kick, you can speak to an NPC and stay in the conversation until you are back.
How to unlock Eureka in Final Fantasy 14
To unlock Eureka in Final Fantasy XIV and be able to visit The Forbidden Land, players will need to be at least level 70 and have all the Stormblood expansion Main Scenario quests finished.
If you want to unlock Eureka as fast as you can, you’ll need to follow these steps:
- Speak to Galiena at the Chakra Falls in Rhalgr’s Reach and unlock the quest “And We Shall Call it Eureka.”
- Next, meet Krile at Kugane, near the docks. This will trigger a long cutscene to introduce players to Eureka.
- From here, head down to Pier #1 and speak to the Craftsman. You are now able to travel to Eureka back and forth!
Now, if you want to travel to Eureka at any point, you must speak with Expedition Ferryman Rodney at Kugane. All party members must be present and active near the Ferryman to travel all together to an Eureka instance, so keep this in mind in case you want to tackle this content with friends.
What is Eureka’s Magia Board in FFXIV?
The Magia Board of Eureka in Final Fantasy XIV is a special feature that only works in The Forbidden Land, and it’s key to defeating the many monsters found within these islands.
Not only players will need to level up separately from their main FFXIV level, but also each monster in Eureka will pack a different elemental affinity. Using the Magia Board back at the camp, players will be able to distribute points across the different elements to help out in each monster fight.
FFXIV Eureka Dungeon: Baldesion Arsenal explained
Once the Eureka storyline is completed, players will unlock the 56-player public dungeon called Baldesion Arsenal.
These are all the pre-requirements to start the Baldesion Arsenal Dungeon in FFXIV:
- Reach Elemental Level 60 in Eureka. This is the content’s separate leveling system.
- Complete all the Eureka Hydatos main quests.
- Complete the FATE “I don’t want to believe.” This only spawns during Umbral Turbulence weather in the presence of an Elemental Level 60 player.
All Eureka rewards in FFXIV
Completing the Eureka Baldesion Arsenal Dungeon grants players the very sought-after Demi-Ozma mount.
By farming the rest of the post-Eureka content and leveling each area to levels 3 and 4, players will be able to get the Hydatos Elemental Relic Armor, as well as its +1 and +2 versions.
This is a huge grind, and it needs all the Eureka content completed, so if you are capped on FFXIV’s content, be ready for a long adventure to get this.
