First details on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Co-Op mode

The first details on the co-op mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare appears to have been announced via the pre-order listings for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare on digital stores.

The description for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s co-op mode says:

Squad-up and play cooperatively in a collection of elite operations accessible to all skill levels.

That sounds a lot like Spec Ops is returning for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Activision’s press release only describes it as a ‘new cooperative gameplay.’

Spec Ops was the Co-Op mode back in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and 3, where players could navigate in campaign mission locations on separate objectives with friends in a timed trial.

It does appear that Zombies will not be in the game this year — a first since Call of Duty: Ghosts.

We’ll update as we learn more on this.
