First look at Prestige Shop in Black Ops Cold War

Black Ops Cold War prestige shop

The Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Prestige shop is here.

Dropping at the launch of Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is the Prestige Shop, allowing players to spend Prestige Keys on different items. Currently, the shop is supposed to unlock when players get their first Prestige Key. However, for now, it appears there is a bug preventing players from using it.

Players who reached master prestige in Season 0 should now see three Prestige Keys in their inventory to start. Each time a prestige is hit, a Prestige Key will be rewarded, and then once master prestige is hit for the season (level 200), players will be able to get additional keys every 50 levels up to level 1000.

Luckily, we won’t have to wait until the Prestige Shop is out, since screenshots of the full shop have surfaced via Twitter user @TheMW2Ghost.

The awards seem to be custom prestige icons and exclusive calling cards for now. Each reward costs one Prestige Key. Another tab titled “Prestige Master,” awards you with a ribbon every season you hit prestige master.

The max ribbon rank is six, so this could mean that six seasons are planned in total for Black Ops Cold War, identical to the amount available in Modern Warfare.

As a bonus, every single prestige calling card from every Black Ops game is also available to purchase in the prestige shop for one key a piece.

For the prestige icons, it seems there is a total of 27 prestiges planned to launch. Each time you prestige, you will have a library of icons from previous Black Ops titles to choose from to use as your icon for that prestige. As you progress through the levels past season prestige master, you’ll have new prestige icons to select every 100 levels, up to level 1000.

Once level 1000 is hit, you will be able to purchase and use multiple master prestige icons from older Black Ops games.

We’ll update you when the prestige shop returns.
