Forgotten Black Ops Cold War weapons have Warzone’s best K/D ratios
If you’re looking to change up your loadout in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, two long-forgotten weapons from Black Ops Cold War have some of the highest K/D ratios in the game right now.
Ever since the launch of CoD Vanguard and the move to Caldera, Warzone’s meta has been dominated by WWII guns thanks to their low recoil and 10 attachments. The same is true in Season 5 Reloaded, with the likes of the Armagurra 43 and MP40 being the go-to for many players.
But with Warzone 2 set to arrive on November 16, some players might be looking for a new primary weapon to keep things fresh, while still being competitive against the meta choices.
Luckily, there are two weapons that haven’t been popular since the Black Ops Cold War days that are statistically among Warzone’s best, despite having a low pick rate.
According to WZ Ranked, BOCW’s MG 82 and EM2 have emerged as two of the most effective guns in Season 5 Reloaded. The MG has a K/D of 1.22, placing it ahead of the Marco 5 and H4 Blixen, while the EM2 has the highest ratio in the whole game at 1.45.
Despite these impressive figures, both are severely underused and have a pick rate of just 0.04 and 0.33 respectively.
The EM2 received a buff in the Season 5 Reloaded update that increased its minimum damage from 35 to 36, and headshot multiplier from 1.3 to 1.5. These may seem like small changes, but the Assault Rifle’s damage output is now much higher, allowing it to challenge the game’s biggest names in that category.
Meanwhile, the MG 82 was left untouched by the update, but the LMG’s incredibly low recoil at all ranges makes it ideal for Caldera’s vast open spaces and players can choose virtually any other type of weapon to pair with it.

With Warzone 2 on the horizon, running one of these underrated options could make for a nice change of pace after months of Vanguard weapons dominating, but they still have the firepower to be extremely competitive in the final season.
