The XM4 has always been a popular Rebirth Island choice but Warzone players are discovering that a forgotten Assault Rifle may have it beat.

An influx of players have been enjoying the changes to Rebirth Island since the Season 2 Reloaded Update. The Rebirth Island meta is constantly shifting and while players attempt to complete Rebirth Reinforced’s Community Challenges, they want to use the best weapons available.

The XM4 has been a powerful option on Rebirth Island since the release of Cold War thanks to its hybrid functionality as a mid-range Assault Rifle. However, it seems a different Cold War Assault Rifle may have it beat when it comes to Rebirth Island dominance.

Vargo 52 AR Warzone

Black Ops Cold War continued to receive fresh content even after the release of Vanguard and to the delight of Warzone players, this new content made its way to the battle royale. The Vargo 52 didn’t exactly turn heads upon release as a troublesome reload glitch held the weapon back.

Despite this annoying glitch, Warzone experts viewed the Vargo as an extremely powerful weapon with incredible stats. Now, Warzone content creator Issac ‘IceManIsaac’ Hamilton has revealed a loadout that rivals the XM4 on Rebirth Island.

IceManIsaac Vargo 52 Warzone loadout for Rebirth Island

  • Muzzle: GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel: 18.6″ Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Magazine: Spetsnaz 60 Rnd

Since the Vargo is a relatively new weapon, most Warzone players could be lacking the proper attachments to make this loadout work, or might not even have it unlocked. Luckily, IceManIsaac uses the Ferrofluid blueprint, which comes equipped with everything you’ll need to dominate on Rebirth Island.

If you do opt for the blueprint, IceManIsaac suggests swapping the Spetsnaz 60 Rnd with the 45 Rnd Magazine, as it will improve the weapon’s ADS speed. The Vargo hits hard and with the Spetsnaz Grip and GRU Suppressor it is really easy to control, “it hits like an XM4 maybe with a little bit less recoil.”

IceManIsaac reiterates that this underrated weapon needs to be on your radar as one of the best around, “It could be one of the strongest guns in the Warzone meta that people are just now finding out about.”
