Forgotten Warzone SMG is “faster” than every Vanguard weapon
For all the speed demons out there looking to overwhelm enemies with movement, this forgotten Warzone SMG will have you zooming around Rebirth Island and Caldera.
Although aiming ability and gun skill are top priorities, movement is also a crucial aspect of Warzone success. Warzone weapons have varying mobility stats that are altered by weight and attachments equipped.
If built to perfection, this SMG loadout can prove to be one of the fastest weapons in the game. If you’re looking to finesse your opponents with vastly superior movement speed then the Cold War MP5 is your best bet.
The Cold War MP5 is far from the most popular Warzone weapon at this stage of the game. It currently has a WZ Ranked pick ratio of 0.73% and is the 12th most used SMG. These stats prove that this iconic weapon is an overlooked Warzone Pacific Season 2 pick.
In a recent video Call of Duty content creator IceManIsaac proves that the Cold War MP5 is faster than the best Vanguard weapons in certain situations.
IceManIsaac Cold War MP5 Warzone loadout
- Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
- Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
- Stock: Raider Stock
- Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
- Magazine: STANAG 50 Rnd Mags
Of course, this MP5 loadout will perform at maximum efficiency on Rebirth Island due to the nature of most close-quarters gunfights and the ability to finesse opponents with movement but it also works well on Caldera.
IceManIsaac specifically chooses attachments that maximize speed like the Tiger Team Spotlight, Raider Stock, and Bruiser Grip. In the video, he explains how “I feel really kind of slow and sluggish using Vanguard guns, and [with] the MP5 I’m zooming across the map and absolutely melting”.
Although the Vanguard SMGs boast fast TTKs, they can feel clunky and slow at times in Warzone. Revisiting a max-speed weapon like the MP5 that still hits incredibly hard is certainly worthwhile.
