Former IW Creative Strategist, Robert Bowling, announces new mobile tactical strategy game

Robert Bowling, the former IW Creative Strategist (who left Infinity Ward in March of 2012), has just announced a new iOS/Android game he’s been working on.

The game is called “Breach and Clear” and it’s coming in Spring 2013 to iOS and Android devices. The game’s main developer is “Gun Media”, Bowling will be the executive producer on Breach & Clear – ” [a] hybrid tactical strategy game that puts you in control of Special Operations Forces during the planning and execution stages of high-risk, close-quarters missions and beyond.”

“We’re hoping to change the conversation about what denotes a mobile game,” said Bowling. “With Breach & Clear, we’ve taken the design principles of creating a major console release and transferred that to a title that just so happens to be launching on mobile devices. Our focus is to take a gameplay experience and mechanic that is built from the ground up for mobile or touch control and enhance it with the depth and progression you’d expect from a AAA console release.”

Robert Bowling is also the President of Robotoki Studio, which he created in April of 2012. Robotoki announced their first IP game in E3 2012, which is called Human Element, a zombie type game that is coming in 2015. According to Bowling, they will be announcing another game on March 4th.

Robert Bowling issued a statement to Games Industry:

The development and launch of Breach & Clear will have no impact on the production cycle of any projects at Robotoki. In fact, in March, Robotoki will be doing a large expansion and hiring spree to ramp up on production of Human Element as well as a new title which will be unveiled on March 4th.

NICKMERCS explains what weapon will replace every other SMG in Warzone

There are plenty of powerful SMGs in Call of Duty: Warzone, but NICKMERCS believes that one specific SMG will replace all others in the meta.

NICKMERCS has returned to Warzone after a hiatus, and the popular content creator believes he has found the one SMG that will be replacing all of the other ones in the Call of Duty battle royale.

There is a wide range of powerful weapons that players can equip and use to dominate their enemies in Call of Duty: Warzone with SMGs being some of the best, especially when it comes to close-quarter battles.

Fan-favorite streamer and YouTuber NICKMERCS has recently dove into Warzone with one particular SMG that he believes is the replacement for all of the other ones available in Warzone.

This SMG that NICKMERCS believes is the replacement for every other SMG in Warzone is the OTs 9 from Black Ops Cold War.

This compact weapon has great mobility and stopping power making it a perfect choice for players when it comes to winning close-quarter gunfights.

You can find the Warzone OTs 9 loadout that NICKMERCS uses below:

  • Muzzle – GRU Suppressor
  • Barrel – 8.1″ Task Force
  • Laser – None
  • Optic – None
  • Stock – KGB Skeletal Stock
  • Underbarrel – None
  • Magazine VDV 40 Rnd Fast Mag
  • Rear Grip – Serpent Wrap

The video that NICKMERCS used this OTs 9 Warzone loadout in showed off the power of this SMG in the Call of Duty battle royale, as he was able to secure a double-digit kill win in what would be a solid performance for any warzone player.

While the NICKMERCS OTs 9 Warzone loadout may not be a meta weapon when the Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone integration takes place with a new map and anti-cheat, there is no doubt that it is easily a solid replacement for any SMG that a player may feel is not performing as good as they want.

Warzone Ghosts of Verdansk update: Major Fear meter and ghost changes

Raven Software has pushed out an update for Warzone’s Ghosts of Verdansk LTM, and it changes several things including the Fear Mechanic.

Ghosts of Verdansk is the themed mode that celebrates Halloween in Call of Duty: Warzone. The devs have released a small update that provides some quality of life adjustments to the mode – particularly with its Fear Meter and ghosts.

Despite only being here for a small amount of time, Raven Software has felt it important that they alter some of the settings in Warzone’s Ghosts of Verdansk game mode with a fresh update.

Plenty of players are getting stuck into the new LTM to enjoy and contribute to the 2021 Halloween season, but there are one or two areas that Raven has felt the need to deal with early in the game mode’s lifecycle.

A Tweet from the official Raven Software account has detailed all the different changes that players can expect in Warzone’s Ghosts of Verdansk limited-time mode for The Haunting event.

Many of these changes were based on community feedback about the Ghosts of Verdabsk game mode, so it is nice to see the Warzone developers take this feedback and use it to improve the Ghosts of Verdansk limited-time mode.

Here are the changes in full:

  • Ghosts can now drop ammo when killed
  • Souls will be removed when too far out in the gas
  • Passive Fear gain has been reduced
  • Increased Fear reduction when killing Ghosts and humans

The Fear mechanic is one of the mode’s most important features as it can cause jumpscares and obscure the player’s screen.

But there has been the complaint on social media and Reddit that it’s difficult to reduce the Fear mechanic, even when using the Sacred Grounds.

This update should hopefully alleviate some of those troubles and make Ghosts of Verdansk even more enjoyable for players for the rest of the time it is in the Call of Duty battle royale’s Halloween season.
