Fortnite Lever Action Shotgun

Another week means another Fortnite update, with the v15.20 patch releasing on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, January 13.

Fortnite Season 5 is well underway with, with players given plenty of time to get accustomed to the new Zero Point map and the bounty system that has changed how the battle royale is played drastically.

Of course, Epic Games aren’t ones to sit on their laurels, and after a busy festive season, the developers have finally dropped the 15.20 patch for the game to help keep things fresh for those searching for Victory Royales.

Players have two new weapons to look forward to this week, alongside new details on the “secret” Battle Pass Outfit, and another adjust to Pre-Edit Options. Here’s everything you need to know about the patch before you jump out of the Battle Bus.

Lever Action Shotgun

The headline addition in the 15.20 patch is the Lever Action Shotgun, which is sure to pack a punch any time you find yourself in close-quarters combat.

Epic claim the weapon is “no peashooter,” and that “one well-aimed blast is enough to drop even the heartiest foe,” so this is likely to dominate situations where you’re up close and personal with enemies.

Damage statistics for the Lever Action Shotgun aren’t available just yet, but the developers have confirmed it will be available in regular loot drops, so it shouldn’t be too hard to get your hands on one.

Hop Rock Dualies Exotic

Alongside the Lever Action Shotgun, players will also be able to get their hands on a new Exotic weapon, the Hop Rock Dualies.

Players can spend their Gold Bars to purchase it from Characters around the island, and with the Hop Rock Dualies, you’ll be able to jump around and drop in on your opponents before shredding through the enemy.

On top of that, Epic have also confirmed that the reduced price offer for Exotic items has been continued, so you can get your hands on the Dualies for less.

Secret Battle Pass Outfit Clues

Players looking for new information on the Secret Battle Pass Outfit are also coming in this update, with Epic confirming that the mystery characters has left some clues in Stealthy Stronghold about who they are, and what they’re planning for the future of Fortnite.

Elsewhere, Agent Jones is set to bring in two new Hunters to join The Mandalorian and the rest of his squad to ensure peace on the Fortnite island while Zero Point continues.

Pre-Edit Options

After making some major changes to Pre-Edit Options in the v15.10 update, Epic have continued to tweak the mechanic after listening to feedback from players.

With ‘Disable Pre-Edits’ turned on, all player-built structures will be uneditable until they are physically placed in the environment, making it easier for players to select the right piece every time.

How to get the Grab-itron in Fortnite Season 7: Locations & guide

Fortnite’s 17.30 update introduced a brand new weapon, and we’ve got everything you need to find and use the Grab-itron.

Fortnite's Grab-itron weapon

Fortnite’s v17.30 update has introduced the brand-new Grab-itron item, a gravity gun that can throw objects at enemies. Here’s how you can get your hands on this powerful new weapon.

Fortnite’s 17.30 update officially dropped on Tuesday, August 3, bringing with it the upcoming Mothership Abduction POI and the Rift Tour event complete with Ariana Grande concerts.

The headline addition in the patch though is the Grab-itron item, which first appeared in the game’s Season 7 Battle Pass trailer. Since then, players have been anxiously awaiting its arrival, but as each week passed, it never appeared. Finally, that’s all changed, and here’s how you can add it to your inventory during matches.

Where to find the Grab-itron

According to Epic Games, the Grab-itron can be found in three spots: in Chests, on top of Abductors, and inside the Mothership.

Unfortunately, finding them inside of Chests will rely on some luck, as you can never guarantee what loot you will get when you open one. Thankfully, the other two methods should guarantee you the item, although you may have to fight other players who have the same idea.

Finding Abductors is easy. When you jump into a game, simply open your map and you will see three Abductors marked on your map. Where they appear is different in every map, but they always spawn above named POIs. You’ll need to land on top of one to get the Grab-itron, so landing there early is your best bet.

These Abductors can also beam you inside the Mothership, which will also have Grab-itrons inside.

How to use the Grab-itron in Fortnite

Fortnite Abductor

The Grab-itron is essentially a gravity gun. Sometimes called a “UFO in your hands” according to Epic, players can use this weapon to lift and pull objects around them.

“Pull in an object with its flying disc, take it along with you, then launch it at an opponent,” writes the game’s developers, confirming that the damage the enemy takes depends on how big the item is and what it’s made of. Players will also be able to use these items to block incoming damage, although they will eventually break.

The Grab-itron is available in Fortnite right now, so jump into a game and get your hands on one for yourself to test its true power.

Fortnite 17.30 update patch notes: Grab-itron, Ariana Grande, Abduction event

The new Grab-tron weapon, Ariana Grande skin, and Mothership Abduction event all arrive with the Fortnite 17.30 patch notes.

Spaceship in Fortnite Season 7

Fortnite’s 17.30 update arrives on August 3, finally introducing the new Grab-itron item, Ariana Grande’s ICON Series skin, and the POI Abduction event that will kick off the end of Season 7.

After a quiet period for the game, updates have been dropping thick and fast since Epic’s summer break, with the 17.30 patch releasing just seven days after Fortnite’s last one.

While 17.20 was relatively small, August 3’s 17.30 patch is set to really shake things up on the island, with the long-rumored Grab-itron finally arriving after weeks of speculation. On top of that, Ariana Grande is set to arrive as the Rift Tour kicks off, while the alien spaceship is likely to start abducting POIs following this patch.

The August 3 17.30 patch is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Here are the full patch notes and everything you need to know about this update.

Grab-Itron finally arrives

Eagled-eyed players first spotted the Grab-itron in the Season 7 Battle Pass trailer, but week after week has passed with no sign of the gun in game. Finally, this scientific marvel debuts in Fortnite in the 17.30 patch.

The Grab-itron is essentially a gravity gun, letting players lift objects and throw them at other things, or more importantly, enemies. Played can also use their reload button to rotate objects, which could make the Grab-itron useful for building cover.

The weapon doesn’t actually deal any damage to enemies itself, but with some clever thinking, the Grab-itron can definitely send your opponents back to the Battle Bus.

Fortnite Mothership Abduction event

If you’ve played Fortnite at all during Season 7, you’ll have noticed the giant spaceship that is floating menacingly above the island. Things are about to get a little crazy, with a new in-game event known as the ‘Abduction event’ set to kick off.

While we don’t have all the details just yet, leaks have confirmed that some sort of abductions will be taking place at a number of POIs, with Slurpy Swamp the first to be affected.

Ariana Grande Rift Tour

Fortnite’s Rift Tour is just a few days away, with special challenges and a concert from music superstar Ariana Grande for players to enjoy.

On top of that, Fortnite fans will be able to get their hands on a special Ariana Grande in-game skin, with the ‘no tears left to cry’ singer rocking her signature ponytail and an outfit made out of Zero Point crystals.
