Fortnite Season 8 will soon wrap up, but Epic Games are maintaining a steady stream of content, with the latest update being the 18.30 November 9 Hotfix. This finally adds the Combat Pistol, buffs the Sideways Rifle, and more.

Fortnite Season 8 has brought a plethora of content to the ever-popular battle royale, and the loot pool is only about to get bigger. The Combat Pistol arrived in the game files with the 18.30 update, and it’s finally arrived in the game with the November 9 Hotfix.

That’s not all though, as there are changes to the Sideways Rifle, and a new Character Punchcard Questline has arrived.

Here’s everything in Fortnite’s November 9 18.30 update.

Combat Pistol arrives in Fortnite

Fortnite Combat Pistol

The standard Pistol has been vaulted, and the Combat Pistol has finally arrived with the 18.30 Hotfix.

Epic Games have compared it to the Combat Assault Rifle, where it has “tighter bullet spread and exceptional power.” However, they warned that it has “strong recoil, so it takes a savvy yielder to fire its full potential.”

The Combat Pistol can be found in Chests, on the ground, and from Fishing, and comes in every rarity. Its power ranges from 23 damage (Common) to 28 damage (Legendary).

Fortnite Sideways Rifle buff

The Sideways Rifle is a powerful weapon that can be obtained by going into the Sideways, and its received a substantial buff in the 18.30 Hotfix.

Epic described that the Sideways Rifle now “reaches its superpowered state (or ‘close to overheating’ state) faster, stays there longer, and is more accurate.” So, the Sideways is looking to be an even better choice in the remainder of Season 8.

New Fortnite Punchcard Quest arrives

Fortnite Season 8 character punchcards

Fortnite has expanded on its ever-growing list of weekly challenges by adding a new Shadow Ops Punchcard Questline.

You’ll earn 150,000 XP for completing all of these Punchcard Quests, so it’ll be a solid boost in earning Battle Stars and finishing the Season 8 Battle Pass.

And that’s everything included in the small 18.30 Hotfix! Stay tuned to Charlie INTEL for all future Fortnite updates.

The Rock teases major Fortnite role ahead of Chapter 3

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has teased his arrival in Fortnite ahead of the launch of Chapter 3 of the battle royale.

Dwayne Johnson in Fortnite

With Fortnite Season 8 coming to an end, popular celebrity Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has teased his arrival to the battle royale in a new video ahead of the Chapter 3 launch.

Fortnite is known for its various crossovers, as we’ve seen the arrival of characters like Nick Fury and Naruto, as well as some popular real-life figures like Lebron James and Ariana Grande.

Now, it seems that Epic Games might be planning to bring in another major celebrity to the battle royale, as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson appears to be teasing his arrival in Fortnite.

The Rock set to play Fortnite’s The Foundation

The Foundation in Fortnite

In a video posted on Twitter, The Rock was showcasing his energy drink, ZOA. However, what caught the attention of Fortnite fans was Johnson name-dropping The Foundation NPC.

This is a character who is the leader of a group known as the ‘The Seven,’ that have been in the game since Chapter 1 and were also a part of the Fortnite x Batman crossover comic book.

The Rock’s fridge contained The Foundation’s helmet in plain view. He also used some key Fortnite terms like Zero Point, Higher Ground, and Foundation.

Dwayne Johnson’s appearance in Fortnite has been teased before, and it seems that this crossover is finally happening.

Ever since this tweet went live, Fortnite fans have been speculating about whether or not this confirms The Rock’s arrival in the game. While some players are excited, others are a bit disappointed that The Foundation is a crossover character.

“I low-key wish The Foundation wasn’t The Rock,” tweeted one user. “I wanted him to be an original character.”

Although extremely likely, it’s worth keeping in mind that Dwayne Johnson hasn’t officially confirmed his arrival in Fortnite just yet.

It’s entirely possible that this could just be part of a joke. Hopefully, we’ll get an official announcement from him or Epic Games soon enough, and we’ll be sure to update you when that happens.

Leaked Fortnite Chapter 3 trailer gives first look at new map

A teaser trailer for Fortnite Chapter 3 has been leaked through TikTok, giving players a first look at the new map.

Agent Jonesy and Fortnite cube queen

It appears that Epic Games has accidentally added a Chapter 3 trailer to TikTok early, which gives us a look at the new map.

Fortnite is set to receive one of its largest updates yet with Chapter 3 in December. This will start a brand-new storyline, introduce plenty of new mechanics and NPCs, and of course, bring a new map.

The End event isn’t set to begin until Saturday, December 4, but it appears that Epic Games accidentally added the trailer to TikTok early. Although now removed, it’s still out in the wild, giving the first look at the Chapter 3 map.

Of course, If you don’t want spoilers for The End event and Chapter 3 that follows, don’t read on any further.

Now onto the trailer.

In this short teaser trailer, we can see Agent Jonesy is washed out to sea off the coast of the Chapter 2 island. We then see the island completely flip over, revealing the Chapter 3 map on the other side.

This is presumably after The End event following the Cube Queen’s defeat. The Tsunami that hits Jonesy will likely mark the beginning of the downtime, but we’ll need to wait until the event to know for sure.

Some believe that this trailer teases that they’re bringing back the Chapter 1 map. We can’t see enough of it to confirm, but the desert biome spotted has led to speculation that Paradise Palms will make a return.

There has been some debate over whether this trailer is real, but it appears to be legit. Known leaker iFireMonkey confirmed that “the video IS real,” and they’ve used the TikTok account as a source before.

Leakers say they’ve been asked not to leak any Chapter 3 details during downtime between seasons, so we’re unlikely to know much more about the new map ahead of its arrival.

But, both Spider-Man and Matrix skins have been leaked for the new season, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has all but confirmed that he will be playing The Foundation character.

Epic Games have added the Marvel character Nick Fury as a new skin in Fortnite, and here’s everything you need to know about the new S.H.I.E.L.D Set, including the price.

Fortnite has done multiple collaborations with Marvel in the past, with Carnage and Venom joining in Season 8, and the Season 4 Battle Pass consisting of superheroes. Spider-Man is also rumored to be arriving soon.

Epic Games aren’t done with Marvel characters just as Nick Fury has been added as a brand-new skin for players to unlock in Fortnite, complete with his own back bling, glider, and bundle.

Here’s how you can add these to your inventory.

Fortnite S.H.I.E.L.D. Set Items

Nick Fury is the director of the organization S.H.I.E.L.D and works closely with the Avengers. Epic Games added his outfit to the Fortnite Item Shop on November 26, and you can also get the S.H.I.E.L.D Set.

Here’s everything in the S.H.I.E.L.D Set:

  • Nick Fury outfit
  • F.I.E.L.D Pack Back Bling
  • Director’s Scythe Pickaxe
  • First-Strike Infiltration Glider
  • Quinjets in Flight Loading Screen

Fury has played a major role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, and his Fortnite skin is based on his appearance in those. The Back Bling is included with the outfit, but you’ll have to purchase the Pickaxe and Glider separately.

Nick Fury’s outfit and Back Bling bundle cost 1,500 V-Bucks while the Glider and Pickaxe cost 800 V-Bucks each. Alternatively, you could spring for the whole S.H.I.E.L.D set for just 2,000 V-Bucks.

This costs the same as a Legendary skin includes all of these items, making it one of the cheapest bundles in the game. You can then equip the Nick Fury outfit as you battle Sideways Cube Monsters.

This bundle is an exciting addition for both Marvel and Fortnite fans. Epic Games might introduce even more crossovers before Season 8 ends, as there are other popular franchises that they can collaborate with.
