Fortnite Baby Yoda back bling being called ‘pay-to-lose’

The Baby Yoda back bling cosmetic in Fortnite Season 5 is plagued by a bug that is causing players to become irritated.

A new Fortnite bug is causing aiming problems for players with the Baby Yoda back bling and is rendering the cosmetic useless. Now fans are Epic Games to provide a fix for this problem.

The Mandalorian headlined the Season 5 Battle Pass for Fortnite. Epic Games introduced a ton of new Mandalorian-themed cosmetics such as skins, a glider, the Razor Crest, and Beskar armor. There’s also a Baby Yoda back bling that you can equip at Level 100.

Many players have started to unlock the back bling as Season 5’s end draws near, but they’ve come to discover that it’s plagued by an extremely irritating bug that keeps them from being able to aim properly. Now, fans are demanding a fix from the developers.

New bug discovered in Fortnite’s Baby Yoda back bling

When you equip the Baby Yoda back bling it will block a good portion of the screen, and prevent you from seeing the game clearly. This happens after entering and exiting a car, which causes little Grogu to become static.

Reddit user SweggyBoi posted a clip of this bug in the official Fortnite: Battle Royale subreddit, and suggested that Epic Games either make the Child see-through when aiming, or move him more ot the left so that he doesn’t take up most of the screen.

One player added: “The view truly is awful with bulky skins and back blings. This one is super extreme though. Hope we just get some FOV settings finally so we can use more skins without having half the screen blocked.”

This post got over 10,000 upvotes at the time of writing, and other fans brought up a different problem with the back bling. The cosmetic tends to clip through walls or show around corners while you’re trying to hide from enemies.

The recent customizable superhero skin controversy led to the devs being accused of supporting “pay to win” cosmetics, and now the back bling is being called “pay to lose” due to its poor functionality in combat situations.

With Season 5 coming to an end on March 15, many Fortnite players have worked hard to get through most of the Battle Pass and unlock this cosmetic. Hopefully, we’ll see a fix for this problem before that time.

Exotic weapons are some of the rarest items in Fortnite, so here’s how you can get your hands on them in Chapter 2, Season 8.

Fortnite Season 8 offers powerful Exotic weapons to help you score a Victory Royale, so here’s where you can find each of these rare items.

Fortnite Season 8 has brought some brand-new changes to the battle royale, including the new Sideways dimension. This mysterious new location has its own set of weapons that you can use.

While these new weapons seem to be the focus of the current Season, you can still find rare Exotic weapons on the map, and this guide will let you know where you need to look.

Fortnite Season 8 Exotic weapon locations

Fortnite Exotic Weapon Locations

If you want to survive a game of Fortnite, it’s important to wield the best weapons on offer. For the right amount of Gold Bars, NPCs will sell you Exotic weapons that deal a ton of damage and have distinct attributes.

So far, there are only three Exotic weapons in Fortnite Season 8, but more might arrive as the season progresses. We’ll go over each of these weapons along with how you can acquire them.

Shadow Tracker

Fortnite shadow tracker

Essentially a silenced pistol, the Shadow Tracker allows you to tag hit enemies and track their location.

Luckily, you don’t need to take on any NPC to get the Shadow Tracker pistol. Simply visit Dusk in the mountains west of Lazy Lake and buy it for 400 Gold Bars.

Dragon’s Breath Sniper

A single shot from the Dragon’s Breath Sniper is capable of dealing high amounts of damage to your targets and also sets them on fire. You can camp with this long-range rifle and pick off your foes from a distance.

If you want to get your hands on this gun then simply visit Pitstop just northeast of Boney Burbs. This NPC will sell you the weapon for 500 Gold Bars.

Chug Cannon

The Chug Cannon heals whatever it hits. So you can shoot it at yourself, a teammate, or an enemy, for quick healing on the fly.

This powerful healing device can be obtained from The Brat for 600 Gold Bars. You can find this NPC at the Fork Knife Food Truck, just north of Lazy Lake.

We expect that more Exotic weapons will be added over the course of Season 8, so stay tuned to Charlie INTEL for all of their powers and locations. For more Fortnite, check out how to get Battle Stars and use them in Fortnite Season 8.

Rideable Wildlife set to arrive in Fortnite Season 8

A new setting in Fortnite Season 8’s menus has all-but-confirmed that the leaked rideable Wildlife will arrive this season.

Fortnite Jonesy and tamed wolf

Eagle-eyed Fortnite players have spotted a new ‘Riding’ option in the keybinds, all-but-confirming that rideable Wildlife will arrive in Season 8.

It has been leaked before that rideable animals would arrive in Fortnite, but even though Wildlife arrived in Season 6, players have been unable to ride them. Everything from Boars to Raptors could be tamed, but players were unable to use them for traversal.

However, that’s expected to change in Season 8 after eagle-eyed players spotted new control schemes for “Riding” and “Dismounting” in the menus following the new season’s update.

Fortnite Riding ability settings

Fortnite Season 8 is here, bringing a brand-new Cube theme to the island. Much has changed, but Season 6’s Wolves and Boars still remain. These animals can be tamed, but it appears that you’ll soon be able to ride them too.

Fortnite artist @Lix_wan_Kenobi was the first to report the new Riding submenu that arrived after Season 8.

In the Keyboard Controls section of Fortnite’s menus, there is now an option for “Riding,” which contains binds for “Riding Ability” and “Dismount.” The menu isn’t in use yet and doesn’t have any buttons assigned, but the feature should arrive later in the season.

This lines up with popular Fortnite dataminer and leaker HYPEX’s findings, where they reported all the way back in June 2021 that “a new class was added this update related to riding animals and its still in very early development!”

They also reported that there would be “flying wildlife animals.” These will supposedly come in big and small and will drop Purple weapons and meat. Fortnite has included planes and helicopters in the past, so this is well within the realms of possibility.

It’s highly likely that either the flying animals or standard Boars and Wolves will become rideable as the season progresses. But stay tuned to Charlie INTEL, where we’ll keep you updated with all things Season 8.

Fortnite Gold Bars

Gold Bars are the currency in Fortnite and you can use them to purchase Exotic weapons, turn into a Prop, and more. Here’s how to get your hands on Gold Bars in Season 8.

Gold Bars are one of the most useful resources you can get your hands on in Fortnite Season 8. They’re relatively easy to gain and even better, you get to keep them between matches.

You can hire NPCs, upgrade your weapons, and even become a prop by purchasing items from NPCs. Plus, you need to spend Gold to complete the first Punchcard Quest of Season 8.

Here’s every way you can get your hands on Gold, and everything you can spend it on.

How to earn Gold bars in Fortnite Season 8

Fortnite Gold bars and bounty

You can earn Gold Bars in a plethora of ways in Fortnite, but some are more lucrative than others.

Here’s every way to earn Gold in Fortnite Season 8.

Loot

The easiest, but not necessarily the most lucrative, method of earning Gold Bars is by simply looting around the island.

Here are some examples of things you can break and loot for Gold in Season 8:

  • Chests
  • Rare Chests
  • Cash Registers
  • ATMs
  • Beds
  • Sofas

As you gear up for the game ahead, make sure you’re breaking and interacting with these objects to get some extra Gold.

Eliminate players

While looting is a big part of battle royale games, your ultimate goal is to win. This means you’ll probably end up taking out a few players over the course of the match. Make sure to loot them afterward, as fallen players often drop around 8 Gold.

Complete bounties

If you want to earn even more Gold Bars for eliminating players, then you can complete Bounties. You’ll be given a player to hunt down and eliminate, and if you’re successful, you’ll be awarded a pile of Gold.

NPCs no longer give bounties this season, so you’ll need to find Bounty Boards around the map.

Here are the locations of each Bounty Board in Fortnite Season 8:

  • Sludgy Swamp
  • Hydro 16 east of Sludgy Swamp
  • Misty Meadows
  • Gas Station west of Retail Row
  • Camp Cod
  • Wall east of Deep Woods Dish
  • Catty Corner
  • South of Dirty Docks
  • Pylon south of Steamy Stacks
  • The Orchard
  • FN Radio east of Craggy Cliffs

If you’re a more stealthy Fortnite player who liked to hide in bushes in Chapter 1, then turning into a prop is the next best thing. By approaching certain NPCs, you can spend 75 Gold to turn into a random prop such as a barrel or trashcan.

Here’s which NPC can turn you into a Prop in Season 8:

  • Dusk west of Lazy Lake

Activate a Rift

Fortnite Season 8 Rift NPC location

You can still purchase Rifts from NPCs in Fortnite Season 8 but so far, you can only purchase one from Dark Jonesy. For 245 Gold, you’ll redeploy high in the air and can glide across the map.

In Fortnite Season 8, you can purchase Rifts from:

Purchase Exotic weapons

NPCs in Fortnite also sell Exotic weapons that can give you a major advantage over your opponents. They don’t come cheap, costing as much as 500 Gold, but can dish out some serious damage.

Here’s where you can purchase Exotic weapons in Season 8.

  • Shadow Tracker Pistol: Purchased from Dusk west of Lazy Lake (400 Gold)
  • Dragon’s Breath Sniper: Purchased from Pitstop at the Bony Burbs Gas Station (500 Gold)
  • Chug Cannon: Purchased from The Brat at the Food Truck north of Lazy Lake (600 Gold)
