Fortnitemares, the yearly Halloween extravaganza held in Fortnite, has returned again. Here’s everything in Fortnitemares 2022, including the brand-new skins, Howler Claws, and Zero Build Horde Rush.

Fortnite is no stranger to seasonal events. From No Sweat Summer which brought sunny vibes to the battle royale, to Christmas content which usually sees the map completely covered in snow.

One of the most popular events is Fortnitemares, Epic’s celebration of all things spooky that fills the game with plenty of haunted horrors. 2021 even saw horror icons like The Mummy and Frankenstein’s Monster arrive as skins.

Now, Fortnitemares 2022 is here, and we’ll go over everything we know about it.

Fortnitemares 2022 schedule

Fortnitemares went live on Tuesday, October 18 and Epic Games confirmed that the Halloween-themed event will continue until October 31 at 11 PM PT and November 1 at 2 AM ET / 6 AM GMT.

This means that players have two weeks worth of spooky fun to have after hopping into Fortnite following the 22.20 update. There’s a plethora of brand-new content to explore in the Fortnitemares 2022 event.

Fortnitemares 2022 Howler Claws

During this event, you can step on one of the Alteration Altars at the Reality Tree and perform the new Ritual Emote in order to receive the Howler Claws. This item will give you wolf-like abilities.

Fortnitemares 2022 Howler Claws

Here are all the Howler Claw abilities:

  • Wolfscent: Gives you tracking vision and marks nearby enemies
  • Slash: Perform a four-combo melee attack with sharp claws
  • Air Slash: Perform a double-jump that damages enemies after landing

Fortnitemares 2022 Zero Build Horde Rush LTM

The Horde Rush LTM has arrived in Fortnite’s Zero Build mode during Fortnitemares 2022. This game mode first appeared back in 2019 and required players to work together while battling Cube Monsters.

It was prominently featured back in Fortnitemares 2021, so it makes sense for the developers to bring it back for the Zero Build mode. It’s been confirmed that Horde Rush will remain in the game after November 1 for a limited time.

Fortnitemares 2022 Glare and Sorrow skins

It’s been confirmed that Epic Games will bring the fan-designed Glare and Sorrow skins with Fortnitemares after creators Dreowings and Kitsunekitsu won the Concept Royale contest.

Glare has a hand with a single eye in the palm instead of a head, and Sorrow looks like an undead demon.

The update has also unvaulted items like the Candy and the Pumpkin Launcher that you can use to complete the new Fortnitemares Quests. Completing these will let you unlock a new Pickaxe, Glider, and Back Bling.
