Fortnite Season 8 is here with plenty of Cube-themed content for players to tackle. One of the most mysterious new additions is the Fortnite Gold Cube which has begun traveling around the map. Here’s where to find it and where it’s headed.

Fortnite Season 8 Cubed has landed, and it’s brought with it a whole host of new changes to the world-famous battle royale. From another Marvel crossover with Venom and Carnage to an entirely new dimension called The Sideways.

In a throwback to the first season, Epic has also brought back Kevin the Cube, and he isn’t alone this time.

A strange Gold Cube can also be seen rolling around among the numerous alien Cubes populating the map. Here’s everything we know about it so far.

What does the Fortnite Gold Cube do?

The actual purpose of the Gold Cube is currently unknown. When the other purple squares began making their moves, it remained stationary but has since started to travel as well.

This more prestigious Cube will likely play a massive part in the end-of-season event that will take place before Season 9 begins.

As always, we will keep you updated with any fresh news on what role the Fortnite Gold Cube will play.

Fortnite Gold Cube location

The mysterious Fortnite Gold Cube started near Holly Hedges and Weeping Woods before it began its long journey.

At the time of writing, it can be found in between Boney Burbs and Believer Beach, and it is set to head towards Pleasant Park.

As the object now appears to be continuously moving, its location will change drastically throughout Season 8.

It is expected to go past many of the named locations around the outskirts of the map before reaching its final destination.

Fortnite Gold Cube

If the Cube is moving, then where exactly is it going? Well, according to a leak from dataminer HYPEX, the Fortnite Gold Cube – along with every other alien square – is actually heading to the center of the map.

This location has been significant for some time in Epic’s ongoing narrative, especially in the Zero Point storyline that has dominated many of the game’s seasons.

It appears that all of the Cubes, except Blue, which is yet to budge, will all be meeting in the same place eventually.

What happens when all of the Cubes make their way to the middle remains to be seen, but if history is anything to go by, then fans can expect something big when they are reunited.

Fortnite lets you collect Bounties on other players so that you can earn Gold Bars. These first arrived in Fortnite Season 5, taking inspiration from one of Warzone’s contracts. Now, they’ve returned in Season 8.

Whether you’re looking to complete Punchcard Quests or just want to earn some extra Gold, here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Bounties and all of the Bounty Board locations.

How to complete Bounties in Fortnite Season 8

Fortnite Bounty Board and Gold bars

All you need to do is find and approach a Fortnite Bounty Board and press the interact button to ‘Start Player Bounty.’ You’ll then get the name and skin of the target with a six-minute timer counting down the time remaining.

The player’s location will appear on the map as a yellow circle, but you’ll only be able to see their general whereabouts. So, you’ll need to search the area for them while being careful about the target spotting you first.

Once the enemy has been spotted, you can kill them. Depending on the circumstances and the skill of your target, this will be either be quick and easy or extremely difficult. Completing the bounty will grant you Gold Bars.

If another player takes out your target, you’ll receiver a smaller amount of Gold Bars than usual. If the Player Bounty runs out of time before your target has been dealt with, you’ll get no Gold Bars.

To summarize:

  1. Approach a Bounty Board and accept the Bounty
  2. Find your target inside the circle
  3. Eliminate your target within six minutes

Cube Monster in Fortnite

One of the new changes in Fortnite Season 8 is the new Sideways dimension that’s filled with monsters. Here’s how you can enter it and access the new Sideways Weapons to complete the Cube Queen Quests.

Fortnite Season 8 is in full swing, and there are some fun new additions in the game like the Carnage skin. The new season also brought Kevin the Cube back to the battle royale, which has now formed The Convergence in the middle of the map.

Along with The Convergence came The Cube Queen, the Secret Battle Pass skin for Season 8. She can now be unlocked after the 18.30 update, where players must enter The Sideways and collect Sideways Weapons to complete her Quests.

Here’s everything you need to know about entering The Sideways and collecting Sideways Weapons.

How to enter The Sideways in Fortnite

The Sideways bubble in Fortnite Season 8

Fortnite Season 8’s Sideways will be marked as rifts on your map. Once you go near, it will turn into a huge orange bubble marked by a glowing circle on your map. Once you get close to the bubble, you’ll be pulled in.

In The Sideways, players will be able to battle new monsters added to the game, who will drop new and powerful weapons to give you even more firepower against your opponents.

Once you’re in there, you’ll need to battle waves of Cube Monsters in a new dimension where gravity is low, and you’ll not have access to the game’s standard building mechanic.

Fortnite Sideways Weapons, Cubes and Chest

Opening chests inside Fortnite Season 8’s The Sideways will grant you all of the Sideways Weapons.

There are at least three new weapons that you can get your hands on in this dimension: The Sideways Rifle, Minigun, and Scythe. Plus, a Sideways Lightblade has also been leaked.

You can use these to deal bonus damage through their superpowered state, which is perfect for completing the Cube Queen Quests.

Sideways Rifle

The Sideways Rifle can be found inside Sideways Chests. Just open enough chests and you’ll eventually get your hands on it.

This Rifle is perfect for players who prefer long-range combat. The Epic version of this weapon can dish out 32 damage with a fire rate of 3.5 and a reload time of 2.66.

Additionally, the gun has a bonus Perk where it can deal extra damage to foes while it’s hot. This makes it an ideal choice for causing mayhem the next time you’re fighting for your life in The Sideways.

Sideways Minigun

Again, the Sideways Minigun is found through opening Sideways Chests. Make sure to stay clear of other players going for them, and you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding one.

As with The Sideways Rifle, this weapon also has a bonus perk. Once it gets heated, the fire rate increases so that you can shoot bullets much faster at your opponents.

Sideways Scythe

And the final weapon you need for the Cube Queen Quests, the Sideways Scythe, is also found in Sideways Chests.

You’ll need to deal 150 damage opponents with the Scythe for the Cube Queen Quests, but it’s also an extremely effective tool for taking down Cube Monsters.

That covers everything you need to know about The Sideways in Fortnite Season 8. With the new update underway, we expect to see many other cool new additions to the battle royale.

Fortnite Explosive Kunai Mythic weapon leaked as Naruto rumors swirl

Some new Fortnite leaks have revealed an Explosive Kunai Mythic weapon which may be connected to a future Naruto crossover.

Naruto using Kunai in Fortnite

A brand-new Explosive Kunai Mythic weapon has been uncovered by Fortnite data miners, and this has fueled speculation about a potential Fortnite Naruto crossover.

Fortnite Season 8 brought plenty of fun crossover content for fans to enjoy, new skins such as CarnageVenom, and Paul Atreides from Dune. Fans are also anticipating a potential Naruto crossover.

Rumors of the anime protagonist’s arrival have been circulating for a while, and a newly leaked Mythic weapon is further fuelling speculation about this crossover. It seems like Epic Games are planning something special for anime fans.

Naruto in Fortnite

These leaks came from notable Fortnite data miner HYPEX, who revealed a Mythic Explosive Kunai which will reportedly be coming to the battle royale title in the near future.

The Kunai is a small blade that is the most common type of throwing and assault weapon in the world of Naruto. So, fans are wondering if this is connected to the rumored crossover.

According to the leaker, the weapon has the following stats:

  • Recharge Cooldown: 4 seconds
  • Maximum Range: 300 meters
  • Delay Between Shots: 1.5 seconds
  • Hold Duration: 0.15 seconds

On October 16, HYPEX also shared information about a new NPC with the codename ‘Headband.’ While details about this character are scarce, codenames often hint at the identity of unknown skins and NPCs.

This might be alluding to Naruto’s arrival since his headband is one of the most well-known parts of his design. The data miner claims that Naruto himself will be wielding the new Mythic Weapon.

“HeadbandK (Naruto) is also set to be a Boss on the map with the Mythic Kunais (check previous tweet), no idea where or when tho,” tweeted HYPEX.

It’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, and Epic Games have yet to verify this information. So, it’s worth taking all of this with a grain of salt until the developers announce something official.

Still, it wouldn’t be too unexpected if the developers decided to surprise anime fans with some neat Naruto content. Hopefully, they will give us some confirmation on the weapon and skin’s arrival soon enough.
