Fortnite leak claims classic movement item could return for first time in four years
According to some brand-new Fortnite leaks, Epic Games are planning to bring Jetpacks back to Fortnite for the first time in four years.
If you want to secure victory in a game of Fortnite, then you’ll need to make yourself a difficult target for your enemies, and this can be done by taking advantage of movement mechanics like the sliding feature.
Another fun way for players to move around the map was through the use of Jetpacks, and some new leaks are suggesting that this classic movement item might be returning for the first time in four years.
Notable data miner and leaker ‘HYPEX’ tweeted out on February 23 that Epic Games are reportedly working on a Jetpacks Chest that might be available to a few select Fortnite factions.
According to the leak, this new addition will arrive in Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2, which HYPEX described as a “war season,” so we might see an intense battle between the I.O and The Seven.
Jetpacks have been previously vaulted and re-released multiple times for modes like the 2018 Close Encounters, and this leak suggests that certain factions might be able to collect them from Chests before taking to the skies.
When they were in the game, Fortnite Jetpacks allowed players to fly around in the air in order to escape or get closer to enemies for a limited time before they ran out of non-replenishable fuel.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, so you should take this information with a grain of salt until Epic Games officially confirm that Jetpacks are making a comeback.
We’ll keep checking for any more developments regarding this leak and will be sure to update you as soon as the developers officially verify that Jetpacks will be returning to Fortnite after four years of being absent from the game.
