Fortnite players desperate for devs to fix popular mode

A recent update has changed one of the community’s favorite modes in Fortnite Season 7, and fans want the devs to revert it back.

Season 7 has given Fortnite another handy boost with tons of new content and changes, but one alteration hasn’t gone down well as fans want the game’s Team Rumble mode to be fixed.

When players aren’t on the edge of their seat nervously grinding out a Victory Royale in Fortnite, there are always fun challenges and distractions to engage with. There are weekly challenges that go towards completing the Battle Pass, and the act of completing them has become slightly more difficult.

Formerly a limited-time mode, Fortnite’s version of Team Deathmatch – Team Rumble – has felt stale for a while, and Epic Games decided to change it. However, the updated version of Team Rumble hasn’t gone down well with fans, and they want it to be reverted to its previous state.

Team Rumble is overtly different from the game’s main battle royale mode as it has 32 players altogether and splits this up into two teams of 16 fighting each other.

The first team to achieve 100 eliminations before the other team wins. There are respawns aplenty, and players enjoy it because they can complete challenges more easily than they would in battle royale.

However, Epic Games has changed the game mode to make it feel new, and in doing so has alienated the fanbase – in the same way they’ve alienated Fortnite.

These are the changes that Epic has made to Team Rumble:

  • The storm already covers lots of the map before you even drop
  • The storm shrinks faster
  • The Battle Buses now cross paths next to each other
  • Players start with several basic weapons to reduce exploration

Fortnite recently brought out its 3.19 update for Season 7, and in the response to the Tweet, many players replied asking Epic to undo the new changes.

“revert the team rumble update,” “Hey Mr Fortnite Status, we love this season, and it’s really cool! But could you please revert Team Rumble back to normal?,” “Can you release a hotfix to revert the changes you made to Team Tumble this season?” are just a few select comments, with many more in agreement.

It’s become accepted that Team Rumble was used more to do challenges than it was for its core principles, so this change was possibly a deliberate move from Epic Games.

Fortnite Free Balenciaga Sprays

There are also some free Balenciaga Sprays you can unlock as part of their collaboration with Fortnite.

The Shady Doggo character will offer you two Quests, and you’ll get the free Sprays for completing them. These Quests are now live and will last until September 28.

To unlock the Fashion Doggo Spray and Knight Looks Spray, you’ll need to:

  • Emote in front of Shady Doggo graffiti at Retail Row, Believer Beach, or Steamy Stacks (1)
  • Collect Triple S sneakers in the Strange Times Featured Hub (40)

Once you’ve completed these two challenges, the Balenciaga Sprays will be in your inventory.

How to emote in front of Shady Doggo graffiti

Fortnite Shady Doggo Spray location
  1. Load into Fortnite Battle Royale
  2. Land in or outside Retail Row
  3. Head to the wall at the back of the Noms Store
  4. Emote in front of the Shady Doggo spraypaint

As indicated by the challenge, you need to find Shady Doggo graffiti in either Retail Row, Believer Beach, or Steamy Stacks. Once you find it, you just need to do an emote and the challenge will be complete.

We recommend heading the back of the Noms store in Retail Row to quickly get this challenge done. You’ll see three Shady Doggos spraypainted on the wall, so simply dance in front of it, the Quest will be complete and you’ll get the Fashion Doggo Spray.

How to collect Triple S Sneakers

Fortnite Triple S Sneaker in Creative hub
  1. Load into Fortnite Creative
  2. Search around the Strange Times Featured Hub for sneakers
  3. Approach 40 of them
  4. If you’re struggling, listen out for the hum they emit

Triple S sneakers can be found all over the Strange Times Featured Hub. Simply load into Creative, and you’ll find sneakers all over the area. You don’t need to interact with them, just step near and you’ll collect them.

There are tons of sneakers around so you won’t have any trouble completing this challenge. But if you only have a few left and you’re struggling, listen out for the humming sound that they emit.

Collect 40 sneakers and the Knight Looks Spray will be yours.

The Donation Boards on Fortnite Island look like any regular boards with flyers on them. Once you interact with them, you’ll get a chance to decide which item should be brought to the map.

You can donate 50 Gold Bars towards whichever item you want to see as future loot, with the first item to hit 100% Funded becoming immediately unlocked and ready for use.

There are plenty of unique weapons to choose from in Fortnite Season 8. These include the new Sideways weapons and the few Exotic Weapons currently left in the battle royale.

By donating to these boards, you have the rare opportunity to decide which of these fantastic weapons can become easily accessible to you the next time you hop into a match of Fortnite.

Donation Boards are mainly located next to POIs on the map. You can currently find a total of 12 scattered around Fortnite Island, and you can often find Turret Boards right next to them.

Once you get to one of these, you’ll have the chance to decide which weapon makes its way to Fortnite Island. This gives you more control over the Battle Royale than before.

Be sure to cast your vote when you come across one of these. For more Fortnite, stay tuned to Charlie INTEL and check out the Gold Cube location and travel path in Fortnite Season 8.

Armored Walls in Fortnite Season 8

Fortnite Season 8 has included a brand-new Trap item to the game, with Armored Walls making your structures much more powerful. Here’s how to find and use this new defensive item.

Following the news that Fortnite will be crossing over with designer fashion house Balenciaga, Epic Games has brought even more content with the September 21 hotfix. In this small update, they’ve announced a Fourth Birthday event, given players the chance to unvault an item, and added a new Trap.

The Armored Walls Trap covers builds in thick metal plating, giving “any building piece a whole bunch more HP.”

Here’s how to find and use this powerful new item.

Armored Walls Trap in Fortnite Season 8

Creating a safe area to hold down is one of the most important strategies to winning a game of Fortnite. Maintaining the high ground and having solid cover is ever-important and now your defense can now be even stronger thanks to the new Armored Walls Trap.

These Armored Walls have arrived in Fortnite Battle Royale matches with the September 21 update. In the accompanying announcement, Epic Games revealed that Armored Walls can be found in Supply Boxes and on the ground. So, it shouldn’t be too difficult to find them, you just need to loot around.

How to use Armored Walls in Fortnite

Armored Walls are Uncommon Traps, so will go into the Trap inventory slot. Like placing the old Damage Traps or Bouncers, you just need to approach one of your own structures with Armor Plates in your inventory and press your Trap keybind, e.g T.

The wall will now become a thick metal structure with 2,500 HP, so the enemies will have an extremely hard time breaking through. However, it works both ways, so be careful you don’t box yourself in!

Here’s a quick summary:

  1. Build or approach one of your walls in Fortnite
  2. Have the Armored Walls trap at the ready
  3. Press your Trap button to apply it to the surface

And that’s how you can find and use Armored Walls in Fortnite Season 8! For more guides, check out how to level up the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass fast.
