Players have discovered that the next crossover for Fortnite will be Capcom’s own Street Fighter franchise.

Fortnite’s recent crossovers have been nothing short of amazing, attracting the likes of Disney’s own Marvel and Star Wars franchises. We’ve been treated to iconic Marvel superheroes such as Captain America and Iron Man, and even Star Wars’ The Mandalorian.

Now, looking forward, players have gotten a glimpse of what’s to come next in the form of a mysterious portal that has opened on the island on February 19, 2021.

After fans took a peek through this portal, they quickly realized they were looking at the Street Fighter universe. Many of the images are levels that players will notice from previous games.

Previously, players thought a WandaVision crossover was in the works, but unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case this time around.

According to popular data miner “ShiinaBR”, the crossover will feature both a male and female character from the games. They speculate the characters will be fan-favorites Ryu and Chun Li.

It’s very possible these characters won’t be the ones selected, so take the guess with a grain of salt. As of writing, there are no data mines that back up exactly which characters we’ll get when the Fortnite X Street Fighter crossover officially drops.

Hopefully, we’ll see the characters in the item shop soon, perhaps this week. We should expect a trailer to drop in the coming days.

With this newfound crossover, perhaps we’ll see more Capcom franchises in the Fortnite universe. Only time will tell, but this new relationship between Epic Games & Capcom could lead to crossovers from Resident Evil or Monster Hunter.
