One of the biggest additions to Fortnite Season 6 is the introduction of weapon crafting, a system that allows players to build their own guns and items using materials found across the island.
One of the most surprising changes comes in the form of weapon crafting, a brand-new system that lets players gather materials from across the Fortnite island to build Primal weapons and tools to use against their enemies.
The weapon crafting system is surprisingly deep, and the game itself won’t give you much help in terms of teaching you how to craft. If you’re struggling, we’ve got everything you need to get yourself some cool new gear.
How to craft weapons & items in Fortnite Season 6
Fortnite’s system to craft weapons is fairly straightforward, however, knowing what you actually need to make things is less clear. Once you have gathered some materials, you can press the ‘Alt key’ on your keyboard or ‘Up’ on a controller, which will open the new look Inventory & Crafting screen.

Tab over to ‘Crafting’ with a weapon selected, and you’ll see what you can craft with the weapons currently in your inventory. You won’t be able to build a gun out of nothing, so you’ll need a weapon in your inventory you want to use as a base.
- Open your Inventory using the Alt key on keyboard or Up on a controller d-pad.
- Move to the Crafting tab using E on keyboard, or R1 / RB on controller.
- Select which weapon you would like to use to craft a Primal Weapon or upgrade.
- Check the material requirements need to perform the craft.
- If you have them, craft the weapon using the ‘Craft’ button.
How to get Animal Bones to craft Primal Weapons in Fortnite Season 6
The best thing about Primal weapons is that they suit each category and playstyle. Close-ranged players can use the Primal Shotgun, while long-ranged ones will use the Primal Rifle.
Here’s every available Primal weapon in Fortnite Season 6:
- Primal Flame Bow
- Primal Pistol
- Primal Rifle
- Primal Shotgun
- Primal SMG
- Primal Stink Bow
These are capable of dealing more damage than Mechanical weapons, and you can create them by going out hunting to collect four Animal Bones.
Wildlife was added to the game in the Fortnite Season 6 update, so you’ll need hunt either a wolf, a hog, or a boar, and kill them to get their meat and bones. Once you have the bones in your inventory, you’ll be able to craft Primal Weapons.
How to get Mechanical Parts to upgrade weapons in Fortnite Season 6
Getting Mechanical Parts may sound complicated, but it’s actually fairly simple. All you need to do is find one of the many cars and vehicles scattered across the island, and destroy it with your pickaxe.
Every now and then a Mechanical Part will fall out while you’re swinging, but make sure not to stay too close, as the vehicles will explode when you’ve dealt enough damage.
Epic Games have said more upgrades and items will be made available to craft throughout the season, so we’ll be sure to keep updating this article with any new information as it becomes available.

Ariana Grande has arrived in Fortnite as an NPC and for her Fortnitemares Punchcard Quests, you’ll need to launch Signal Flares. Here’s how you can get this done quickly.
For one of her Quests, you’ll need to launch a few Signal Flares to contact other hunters. These can be found in different areas across the map, and you’ll need to visit them to complete the Quest.
This guide will go over all the locations that you can visit to get this done.
Fortnite Signal Flare locations
You can find Signal Flares in a total of 4 locations on Fortnite Island. They resemble large brightly colored fireworks with dynamite on the side, so they’re fairly hard to miss if you’re in their vicinity.
Here are all the Signal Flare locations in Fortnite:
- Shattered Saucer
- East of Primal Pond
- South west of Dirty Docks
- West of FN Radio
For this quest, you only need to visit three of these locations, so head over there and interact with the Signal Flares to launch them. This will help you get in contact with the hunters.
Once you’ve launched 3 Signal Flares, you’ll be rewarded with 30,000 XP and this Quest will be marked as complete. You can also complete other Ariana Grande Punchcard Quests for some more XP.
However, you need to watch out for other players who might also be in the area to complete the Punchcard Quests before you do. Make sure you’ve got some solid weapons and gear to defend yourself.

When will Naruto come to Fortnite? New skin release date
A Naruto skin is seemingly on its way to Fortnite, and here’s everything we know about when it will arrive in the game.
There’s wide speculation about the arrival of popular anime character Naruto as a new skin in Fortnite, and here’s everything we know about this, including the skin’s possible release date.
More crossover skins were uncovered by data miners from a survey by Epic Games. While one of these was part of a hoax, there are still many other interesting ones that might be coming soon, including a Naruto skin.
Fortnite Naruto skin release date
Now, we seem to be one step closer to confirming the arrival of Naruto after Twitch streamer candywingx appeared to confirm the arrival of the skin.
The player recently retweeted a real-life meeting with Chief Creative Officer at Epic Games Donald Mustard, and it was hinted that they had been discussing the future of Fortnite.
If the anime protagonist arrives as part of the next Battle Pass in Fortnite Season 8, then we’ll likely see him added to the game on September 18, 2021. If the skin isn’t ready by then, it may appear in the Item Store at a later date.
We might also see the arrival of other characters from the Naruto universe, like Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi.
If Naruto arrives in Fortnite, the player base may significantly increase, since the anime has a huge fandom that’s spread out across the globe. It may even open the door to other anime crossovers like Dragon Ball.
Season 6 of the influential battle royale game also featured a few generic anime skins, but this would be a huge step up. Hopefully, Epic Games will give us some confirmation on the Naruto skin’s arrival.
