Marvel and Fortnite have enjoyed a successful relationship dating back to the release of Avengers Infinity War. Now, with the release of Shang-Chi right around the corner, it looks as though the two are crossing over once again.

If there’s one thing you can always rely on, it’s a Fortnite crossover. Season 7 has already seen the likes of Superman and Lara Croft make their way into the game, with John Cena’s Suicide Squad character Peacekeeper rumored to be coming soon.

Well, according to a new leak, another comic book hero is set to be hopping on the Battle Bus very shortly. This time, it’s Marvel’s Shang-Chi.

Fortnite leaker SmugMrMime posted on Reddit claiming they had new information from an insider as to what the next additions to Fortnite would be. One was the Will Smith Bad Boys skin leaked earlier in August, while another was Marvel superhero Shang-Chi.

This makes sense given that Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is hitting theatres on September 3, and Marvel has a history of using Fortnite to promote its latest movies. It celebrated the release of Avengers Infinity War with a limited-time mode in which players fought Thanos.

The leaker also gives the Shang-Chi skin a date of September 2, just one day before the movie’s US release. It isn’t confirmed yet whether or not the new skin will use actor Simu Liu’s likeness, or opt for the comic book version of the character.

More information leaked in the post teases more of what the future of Fortnite may look like. It notes that something called “Skyfire” will begin counting down on September 3, 10 days before the expected end of Season 7. It also hints that Keven the Cube, last seen in Chapter 1 Season 10, could be making a comeback.

We’ll have to wait and see if Epic confirms Shang-Chi in Fortnite nearer to the film’s release. As always, stay tuned on Charlie INTEL for all the latest news.
