Epic Games have a brand-new Easter-themed event planned for Fortnite, and they’ve revealed some new skins, a tournament, and the return of the egg launcher to the battle royale.
Fortnite Season 6 has won over fans of the battle royale with its new map changes, a crafting mechanic, and tamable animals. Now, Epic Games are looking to surprise fans with the game’s first-ever spring event.
Spring Breakout will bring a ton of new outfits, a Duos competition, papercraft, and brand new weapons for you to unlock. We’ll go over everything that has been confirmed about this event by the developers.
When is Fortnite’s Spring breakout?
Epic Games made an official post about this event, in which they revealed the details of what will be included. You can jump into Fortnite’s Spring Breakout on March 30, 2021, which is probably the date of the v16.10 update,
So far, we don’t have any confirmation regarding when exactly the event will end but it will probably be in early April 2021. If you want to bag yourself some neat new items, then you better hop into the game quickly.
Fortnite Spring Breakout skins
The Spring Breakout event brings some brand new seasonal skins for you to unlock, along with some from previous seasons. So far, we know of three that will join the game during the event.
Webster will arrive as a new character, and he resembles a robotic duck. You can unlock him for free by participating in the Spring Breakout Cup on April 2, 2021.
While the other two new skins are currently unknown, we know that old Bunny Brawler, Rabbit Raider, and Quackling outfits will return in the Item Shop.
How to get the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe
Webster will bring along some brand new Legendary Quests, and completing the first one will let you earn an in-game reward in the form of the Tactical Quaxes Pickaxe.
These challenges will go live after the the event arrives, and you’ll be able to tackle them on April 1. However, we currently don’t know what tasks you’ll have to complete in these Legendary Quests.
The Egg Launcher returns to Fortnite
This timely event will also bring back the Easter-themed Egg Launcher to Fortnite, but we’re not sure how players will be able to obtain it. It used to be available as loot across the map, but now things might work differently.
You might be able to obtain it from an NPC that hangs around one of the many POIs in the Season 6 map. We expect to get more information about unlocking this weapon as the event goes underway.
Epic mentioned a “forgeable egg” that can be found on the map during the event, and it might work similarly to the hop rocks from previous seasons.
We’ll keep checking for any new information that’s announced about the Spring Breakout event, will be sure to update this article.

Fortnite Gold Cube: Location, travel path & more
The Gold Cube in Fortnite Season 8 has started to move, but what’s it for and where is it going? We’ve got the lowdown right here.
Fortnite Season 8 is here with plenty of Cube-themed content for players to tackle. One of the most mysterious new additions is the Fortnite Gold Cube which has begun traveling around the map. Here’s where to find it and where it’s headed.
Fortnite Season 8 Cubed has landed, and it’s brought with it a whole host of new changes to the world-famous battle royale. From another Marvel crossover with Venom and Carnage to an entirely new dimension called The Sideways.
In a throwback to the first season, Epic has also brought back Kevin the Cube, and he isn’t alone this time.
A strange Gold Cube can also be seen rolling around among the numerous alien Cubes populating the map. Here’s everything we know about it so far.
What does the Fortnite Gold Cube do?
The actual purpose of the Gold Cube is currently unknown. When the other purple squares began making their moves, it remained stationary but has since started to travel as well.
This more prestigious Cube will likely play a massive part in the end-of-season event that will take place before Season 9 begins.
As always, we will keep you updated with any fresh news on what role the Fortnite Gold Cube will play.
Fortnite Gold Cube location
The mysterious Fortnite Gold Cube started near Holly Hedges and Weeping Woods before it began its long journey.
At the time of writing, it can be found in between Boney Burbs and Believer Beach, and it is set to head towards Pleasant Park.
As the object now appears to be continuously moving, its location will change drastically throughout Season 8.
It is expected to go past many of the named locations around the outskirts of the map before reaching its final destination.
If the Cube is moving, then where exactly is it going? Well, according to a leak from dataminer HYPEX, the Fortnite Gold Cube – along with every other alien square – is actually heading to the center of the map.
This location has been significant for some time in Epic’s ongoing narrative, especially in the Zero Point storyline that has dominated many of the game’s seasons.
It appears that all of the Cubes, except Blue, which is yet to budge, will all be meeting in the same place eventually.
What happens when all of the Cubes make their way to the middle remains to be seen, but if history is anything to go by, then fans can expect something big when they are reunited.

New leak claims Fortnite is adding another Warzone feature
Some new Fortnite leaks suggest that Epic Games are planning to implement a feature from Warzone in the game.
Some new leaks have emerged which suggest that Epic Games will be adding the sliding mechanic from Call of Duty: Warzone to Fortnite in a future update.
Battle Royale titles are highly competitive, and fans often call for these games to take inspiration from each other. Apex Legends players want Warzone’s matchmaking, and Warzone fans want Halo: Infinite’s Battle Pass system.
These leaks came from notable data miner HYPEX, who claims that the Fortnite developers are working on a new movement type in the game. This will come with a few benefits for players.
“It will increase your FOV by 15 when you’re sliding and it will make your camera shake, with a cooldown of 2 seconds,” HYPEX tweeted. “I don’t know the release date or if it’s gonna be an item!”
This sliding movement has been a staple of both Apex Legends and Warzone, so it might provide to be an exciting addition to Fortnite.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this is currently just a leak, and you should take this information with a grain of salt until Epic Games confirms this. If it’s true, then this might be an exciting change.
The developers could introduce a cooldown timer so that players don’t abuse this mechanic in combat. If it arrives in the game soon, then we will probably see some big changes in player tactics.
We’ll keep checking for updates regarding this. For more Fortnite, check out all the Bounty Board Locations in Season 8, and stay tuned to Charlie INTEL!
