All map changes in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has brought some major map changes with the new jungle theme, so here’s everything you can expect when diving into the map.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has arrived, and the patch notes have revealed all of the exciting content players will be experiencing during the update after the cinematic trailer appeared during the opening show of Summer Game Fest 2023.

As well as a brand-new Battle Pass which includes Optimus Prime and Purradise Meowscles, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 also brings a major map change to the game with the Wilds theme.

The center of the map has collapsed, exposing a jungle biome with new POIs. For those who want to know all the details, here’s a full breakdown of all the map changes.

All Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 map changes

The collapsed center of Fortnite‘s map has exposed three new POIs: Rumble Ruins, Creeky Compound, and Shady Stilts.

These new areas are all encompassed by the new jungle biome, which features thick foliage, ancient ruins, and plenty of new features.

Raptors return

The Raptors have returned to Fortnite, as players will find them in the new jungle biome and can ride them by jumping on top of them to easily traverse the map.

Mud

In the new jungle POIs, players will find mud, which they can slide through for a boost of speed while also gaining some camouflage. This new mechanic is great for escaping enemies or gaining speed to chase.

Vines & the canopy

Speaking of new traversal opportunities and speed boosts, the jungle is also home to vines, which players can utilize in order to get around the area in a faster fashion. Jump on a vine and zoom through the jungle while also keeping your weapons out, allowing you to defend yourself while traversing.

The jungle also features a thick canopy that players can climb in order to gain height over the jungle. Ascend to the top of the jungle’s canopy in order to see the bigger picture and take a more heightened approach to combat.

New plants

Players will find four new plants in the jungle which offer different gameplay opportunities: Bomb Flowers, Stink Flowers, Slurp Plants, and Hop Flowers.

Bomb Flowers can be shot to create an explosion, while Stink Flowers release a toxic gas. Slurp Plants will provide you with some health when you hit them with your Pickaxe, while Hop Flowers will boost you up into the air.
