All new, returning & vaulted weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is here and it’s brought some major changes to the loot pool, adding new weapons into the mix, unvaulting some old favorites, and removing others altogether.

The island has a Marvel aesthetic this season, as seen by POIs like Castle Doom and the Raft. This also extends to the loot, as there are plenty of hero-themed items to find including Mythics earned by defeating recognizable NPCs.

Here are all the changes to the loot pool in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4.

New weapons in Fortnite this season

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 brings four new guns to the island, three of which are pretty conventional. The Dual Micro SMGs double your firepower by placing a tiny machine gun in each hand, unleashing a hail of bullets but sacrificing much of your accuracy.

The Monarch Pistol is an extremely accurate handgun, and the Sovereign Shotgun is this season’s lever-action shotty. All three of these guns have Mythic variants that you can earn by talking to or defeating Gwenpool, Doombot, and Mysterio respectively.

Meanwhile, War Machine’s Arsenal equips your characters with an Auto Turret and Hover Jets, allowing you to soar through the air and fire from above.

On top of all the new guns, old favorites have also returned from the previous era of Fortnite. Some of these featured heavily during the first Marvel season, while others have carried over from last season.

Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets have returned and they’re better than ever. On top of the basic attack, they can now fire a repulsor beam lifted straight from Iron Man’s Repulsors but this causes them to overheat.

Captain America’s Shield is also back for the first time since the Endgame LTM in Chapter 1, this time with a charge attack and the ability to block while sliding or jumping.

As you’d expect, most of the weapons that fit with the previous theme have been vaulted in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. This includes Nitro Fists and the Boom Bolt, which were mostly used to combat the vehicle meta in Season 3.

One of the more surprising changes is the removal of the Heavy Impact Sniper, which means there is currently no one-shot rifle in the game. Luckily, the Huntress DMR is still included, so those who prefer long-range fights still have something to cater to their play style.

Of course, Epic Games will likely make more changes to the loot pool as Chapter 5 Season 4 progresses. Until then, you can get to work unlocking all the new Battle Pass skins and completing the Weekly Quests.
