Fortnite is heading towards Chapter 5 Season 4 and subtle hints have begun appearing around the island. Now, we know that Season 3 will end with another live event to introduce the new era, which could tie many of these teasers together.

The battle royale has become well-known for its end-of-season spectacles, but the tradition was mostly abandoned throughout Chapter 4. However, they’re back with a vengeance in Chapter 5, after the Titan’s hand and Pandora’s Box events had fans talking for weeks.

So, here’s everything we know about the live event set to begin Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, including all the teasers and the leaked return of Pandora’s Box so far.

When is Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 live event?

The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 live event takes place on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM BST. This was confirmed by an in-game teaser added after the 30.40 update.

How to watch Leviathan live event in Fortnite

The Season 3-ending live event is expected to take place naturally during a match, meaning all you have to do is play Fortnite at the correct time to witness it. This hasn’t been officially confirmed just yet, but the previous two events have followed this format.

In the past, major live events like The Big Bang were placed into a standalone playlist, but these were much larger spectacles that took players through cutscenes and scripted sequences. The ‘mini’ versions that we’ve seen in Chapter 5 have been smaller in scale, so they are worked seamlessly into matches.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 live event teasers

Ever since the current season got underway, a large pipeline has gradually been built from Redline Rig towards Brutal Beachhead, where Megalo Don’s ship the Levivthian sits. Redline Rig is where Nitro is produced, so this strongly suggests that the plan is to refuel the ship ready for it to spring into life in the lead-up to Season 4.

This was also heavily teased by Epic themselves, as they shared a short clip that drew players’ attention to this pipeline.

Players have also speculated that The Wanderer could have a role to play after the hooded character started spawning on the island. However, his motivations and where he fits in are still a mystery, so we’ll have to wait and see if he has something to do with the upcoming live event.

According to the leaked roadmap, Chapter 5 Season 4 is going to be another Marvel-themed season, so there’s also a chance that iconic superheroes could play a role. This has been all but confirmed by the Stark Industries beacons that have started to appear randomly across the map.

The first time around, these beacons were built by Iron Man to be used in the battle against Galactus in the live event. This time, they could spell the arrival of a new set of Marvel heroes, or a new world-ending threat like Dr Doom – who has been leaked to appear as a Battle Pass skin.

But, while the Marvel teasers have been quite easy to spot, there has been more activity on the map that could hint at how Season 3 will end.

Pandora’s Box leaks and more

Following all of the teasers mentioned above, a leak from ‘blortzen’ revealed that the pipeline heading toward the Leviathan ship will soon get an animated gauge. It was speculated that this could act as the countdown to the live event that ends Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 and brings the beginning of Season 4.

They also claimed that players would be able to see the Nitro traveling through the structure to refuel the ship, using a hollowed-out section of the pipes that is already.

All of this points toward the ship becoming fully fueled by the end of the season, where it’s expected to start plowing through the middle of the map. This will likely have major consequences regarding the island’s layout in Chapter 5 Season 4.

Following the 30.40 update, leakers also found that Pandora’s Box will reemerge during the event. This led to speculation that the boat could crash into the box, starting a chain of events that ushers in the new season.

Of course, there’s still the question of if and how the Marvel characters will play into this. They could be called in to stop Megalo Don’s runaway boat, or a comic book villain could arrive to inflict even more chaos at the same time.

It’s worth noting that it is all based on leaks and speculation at the moment, as nothing has been officially announced by Epic Games. We’ll likely get even more hints and teasers as we head towards Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, so we’ll update this page with the latest details.

In the meantime, there’s still plenty to get stuck into in the rest of Season 3, including multiple updates, the Pirates of the Caribbean Quests, and the All Sweat Summer event.
