Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 map changes – All new & removed POIs so far
Epic GamesFortnite finally confirmed Chapter 5 Season 4 will be full of Marvel characters, and players will also be able to visit some iconic locations from the popular comics in the form of new POIs.
Here are all the map changes that we know of so far coming to Fortnite with Absolute Doom, as well as all of the removed locations.
New POIs in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4
Castle Doom
Epic GamesThe official Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer teased Castle Doom as one of the main locations. We expect Dr. Doom to be a new Boss NPC this season, which means you’ll be able to visit the legendary villain.
The POI will replace Classy Courts on the northeast corner of the map, based on the trailer’s footage that shows Mount Olympus’ giant statue in the distance.
Doomstadt
In Marvel comics, Doomsdat is the capital of Latveria, a fictional country ruled by Dr. Doom. This new POI will replace Lavish Lair on the Island. Epic shared an official look at the location on August 13 with the quote “In honor of Cynthia von Doom,” referring to the villain’s mother.
The teaser image shows a golden SUV, hinting at new Midas-inspired car bodies. We also expect the location to feature an NPC as well as Story Quests for players to complete during the Absolute Doom season.
The Raft
The maximum security prison featured in many Marvel stories, like Insomniac’s Spider-Man games, will land on Fortnite’s map. Players can see Dr. Doom breaking Mysterio out of The Raft in the official trailer, hinting at the NPC’s location. Epic confirmed The Raft will replace Pleasant Piazza on the Island.
The Raft features different inner sections alongside open areas for players to explore. The trailer also shows helicopters around the facility, which hints at the Choppa vehicle making its return in the upcoming season.
The devs confirmed these locations on the Chapter 5 map and also revealed an Iron Man-related POI that seems to hint at the Hulkbuster armor. Some players believe the teased Iron Man Mythic will be obtainable there.
Additionally, another teaser shows a destroyed Fantastic Four logo somewhere on the Island, teasing more Marvel characters outside the Battle Pass.
Removed locations in Absolute Doom
Lavish Lair, Classy Courts, and Sandy Steppes will be removed in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Epic Games shared an official look at the new map on social media on August 14.
Players expect the Marvel-themed season to feature more themed POIs, but it looks like The Underworld and Mount Olympus will stay for another season. Nitrodrome is another location that will reportedly survive the transition, although we don’t know if it’ll go through some changes in Chapter 5 Season 4.
Lastly, Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig were part of the Season 3 live event but there’s still no word on whether they’ll remain the same in Season 4.
