Fortnite devs buff Season 8 XP rewards after player complaints
Epic Games responded to Fortnite Season 8 complaints by introducing some major changes to the XP gains in the battle royale’s Shared (NPC) Quest rewards.
Fortnite Season 8 brought a ton of cool new content for fans to enjoy, including the new Sideways weapons, Punchcard Quests, and brand-new skins like Venom and Carnage.
Epic Games made it so that players would gain a consistent amount throughout the season, but this resulted in some fans having to work harder to level up than others. Now, the devs have responded to those complaints.
In late September, Epic Games reassured fans that they were aware of these complaints and promised to make a few changes to fix the XP issues in Fortnite Season 8.
Epic Games have changed the values for XP gains from Shared Quests from Common (2,500 XP) increasing to Legendary (3,750 XP).
Here are all the Fortnite XP update changes:
- Common: 2,500 XP
- Uncommon: 2,650 XP
- Rare: 2,750 XP
- Epic: 2,900 XP
- Legendary: 3,750 XP
They’ve updated the Daily Punchcard missions as well, and these changes have caught the attention of the Fortnite community. Many fans are praising the improvements to XP in Season 8.
“Pretty solid changes,” tweeted one fan. “At their peak, quick challenges used to give 2.2k XP x 3 challenges per game. Now you can pick up as many challenges as you like AND the lowest stage offers 300XP more than peak XP quick challenges.”
We’ll see if Epic Games add any more XP improvements to Season 8. For more Fortnite, check out our article on the Jimmy Neutron skin potentially coming in Fortnite Season 8.
