When is Fortnite Fortnitemares 2024? Leaks & everything we know
Epic GamesFortnitemares is the yearly Halloween celebration in Fortnite and leaks have already revealed when the 2024 version will arrive and what content could be included.
Fortnite players are treated to plenty of seasonal events throughout the year, from Winterfest to Sweat Summer. But, few are as hotly anticipated as the Halloween event, which completely takes over the map and often brings harrowing crossovers.
As the spooky season approaches, here’s everything we know about Fortnitemares 2024.
When is Fortnitemares 2024 Halloween event?
Fortnitemares 2024 will get underway on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, according to an X post from reliable leaker HYPEX. They claimed that the 31.30 update will drop on October 1 to begin the build to the Halloween event, before it kicks off two weeks later.
This would fit with the schedule from previous years, as the 2023 version started on October 10 and ran until November 3.
It’s worth keeping in mind that this is based on a leak for now, but we should hear more towards the end of Chapter 5 Season 4. We’ll be sure to update this section with official details once Epic Games announce the event.
What to expect in Fortnitemares 2024
- Map changes
- Halloween weapons
- Crossovers
- Quests
- New boss NPCs
Nothing has been announced for Fortnite’s Fortnitemares 2024 event yet, but based on previous years we expect it to completely take over the game. The map will likely receive a spooky makeover, with Halloween decorations scattered around POIs and themed weapons like the Pumpkin Launcher.
Leaks have revealed that a new boss will arrive on the island with the codename ‘PB.’ Little is known about this enemy, but ‘Wensoing’ claimed they will drop a Legendary Pumpkin Launcher, Wood Stake Shotgun, and Flowberry Fizz.
Fortnite x Friday the 13th crossover rumors
There have also been rumors that a Friday the 13th crossover could arrive as part of the event. This all began when the official social media account ‘JasonUniverse13‘ began following Fortnite on X shortly after they announced plans to expand the franchise into new areas.
Fans have since been speculating that main character Jason Vorhees could arrive as a skin after years of requests from the community.
Again, we haven’t heard anything official from Epic themselves, so stay tuned for more updates as we edge closer to the expected release date.
LEGO Fortnite Halloween event leaked
A leaked teaser has also revealed that LEGO Fortnite will be getting a Halloween event during Fortnitemares. The trailer, shared by ‘CraftyPlaysLF,’ briefly shows what appears to be haunted new biomes to explore.
There is also a quick look at a giant LEGO spider, who could be a new boss guarding these areas that players will need to defeat.
In the meantime, there are plenty of Marvel-themed skins to unlock on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass, as well as Weekly Quests to complete and NPCs to meet.
